Great for carpets and rugs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested this cleaner out on a car seat, couch and carpet. Did not work out well cleaning the car seat or the couch. The sprayer, sprays too much out at once for smaller items. However when I used it to spot clean my carpet it did an amazing job. I really enjoyed having multiple attachments to really get into any spot.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great small carpet cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this spot cleaner for free in exchange for my review but all opinions are my own. I tried this out on some particularly stubborn spots on my carpets that have been there for years. One spot in particular is in front of the chair where my husband eats his dinner every night. We did dilute the cleaner instead of using both bottles provided in one shot so that may have been our mistake. The spots definitely lightened in color and are way less noticeable but did not disappear completely. However the water that came out of those spots was a dark brown color. I plan on trying this again next time we have a more recent stain in the carpet, I thought the unit was light weight, small, and easy to use. And it will be easy to store in the closet until the next time we need it.

Good Cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With three kids, a dog, and a cat, we constantly clean something our family has spilled or left. The spot cleaner took a beating by all the cleaning we did. We used on the couch from a diaper accident to the dog having an accident on the floor while we were out, the cat vomiting in the hallway floor, to all the spills from all the kids.

Lightweight and powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks Hoover for sending me the CleanSlate XL Deep Cleaning Spot Cleaner for free to review. When I first opened the box, I saw the attachment bag with a hook to hang in the closet. This is a brilliant addition. The quick start instructions were easy to follow. I had the filled and ready to clean in less than a minute. My first test was a spot where my dog vomited. I'd cleaned up the original mess with a soapy sponge, but when it dried, I saw there was still a stain. The cleaner made that spot of carpet look new. The second test was on an older stain of diet soda. After spot treating and cleaning, the carpet that I treated is definitely cleaner, but the stain wasn't completely removed. I assume the coloring in the soda dyed the carpet fibers. Cleanup was very easy. The parts snap in and out easily. Another new feature is the hose cleaning port. I found it awkwardly placed. Part of the power cord was still wrapped aound the cord keeper, so the hose portal was behind it. I had to wiggle the hose through the cord to get it into the portal, but finally got it in there. This is a fantastic feature! One of my concerns with a carpet cleaner is always that they start to stink eventually because some of the nooks and crannies are hard to clean. The hose cleaner is a brilliant way to make sure nothing is lodged in there. I love it.

Super easy to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got just in time for sick season! I had blueberry pukes on my light carpet. It was really easy use. I really liked the rubber spike attachment. It worked really well on my longer carpet and I felt it really got deep down to clean all the mess out of the carpet. Suction was great and got most of the wetness out of the carpet. My favorite was the ease of cleaning once done. Having parts that trap all the ick you just sucked up is a huge NOPE for me. This was easy to take apart and rise everything out with nothing getting trapped.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have 3 dogs in our house and one of them is less than a year old. From time to time, she has a pee accident and she had one the other night. I got the Hoover Clean Slate XL out and it worked so well! Very easy to use! The solution seems to be very concentrated and smells nice. I really like the hose cleaning feature! It's very self contained and stores away well. After I used it, the carpet wasn't near as wet as I thought it would be.

Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive the Cleanslate XL by Hoover from Bzz agent to review. The machine came well packed. However, it was a little heavier than I expected. Yet it was easy to carry from spot to spot. Simple to assemble and prepare for use. It has a nice long electrical cord. I could go from my hallway to another room without having to change outlets. Comes with three brush attachments. Two have rubber or bristle brush pieces that can be exchanged out depending on your needs. I prefered using the rubber ones. They seemed to scrub stains better and they were easier to clean. Also included were two Oxy portable cleaning solution. The Cleanslate XL worked well on both the longer pile carpet and flat rug surfaces that I tested. The Cleanslate XL and the Oxy portable solution worked great on almost every stain that I tried to remove. I had one tricky stain that could not completely be removed but I will try again later. When it was time to cleaning the dirty tank, It took me a few minutes to figure out that the lid of the tank just needed to be pulled up and off to clean it. Once the top was off, the tank just needed to be rinsed out. Then it was all clean and ready for the next use. I hate to admit this but my carpet is disgusting. I have a cat with a very sensitive stomach who vomits a couple times a week. I also have an older dog who loves to play in the dirt. I refuse to get new flooring, right now because of those reasons. I hate dragging out my big clunky carpet cleaner every time they create a new stain. Recently, I bought/tried a different brand of portable carpet stain remover. Unfortunately, it has poor suction and leaks. So the Cleanslate XL by Hoover has been an awesome solution. It has great suction and is easy to use. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with carpet or rugs.

Ease of using, and ease of cleaning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is easy of using, and easy of cleaning. The main attachment is so wide, it's perfect for stairs. The tight spot tool worked great on my car. It was great for scrubbing and removing whatever the heck was in my seats. This thing takes most of not all out, even old stains.
