Answer to my prayers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My house is a menagerie with five personal dogs and cats along with senior dogs that I foster. Along with personal satisfaction, I also have a lot of messes on the carpet to clean up and the spray on so cleaners just didn't cut it. And my carpet cleaner was just too heavy to drag out a few times a day. The first thing I noticed about the CleanSlate XL Deep Cleaning Spot Cleaner is the weight. I am a senior so that was a concern but I needn't have worried. It's light enough for me to easily carry about. I was really impressed with the cleaning ability of this little machine. I had some spots that I thought were stains come right up. And these were spots that I had already attempted to pretreat and clean! I do highly recommend this wonder cleaner for any household that includes pets or kids. Your carpets will really thank you. I do want to disclose that I received this product for free in order to give a fair review. This fact didn't influence my opinion at all. I would have loved this machine at any cost.

Wonderful for High Traffic Households!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hoover sent me the CleanSlate XL Deep Cleaning Spot Cleaner for FREE to review- I'm so glad they did! I have two dogs, three teenagers and a baby that's starting to crawl so I'm kind of crazy about clean floors these days. There was ZERO assembly- awesome! The instructions are incredibly clear and include pictures, the attachments come in various sizes and materials but all work well too. I think my favorite part of the CleanSlate XL is the self cleaning hose. It's such a nice feature so that you don't have any lingering "messy smells" and you know the machine is clean for the next use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great cleaner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cleaner did amazing in old stains from food drinks and pets. I had stains in the carpet since I bought my house last year and in a year with pets the stains accumulated. The carpet cleaner cleaned it up so easily! Very happy!

Great little steam cleaner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hoover kindly gave me this CleanSlate XL Deep Cleaning Spot Cleaner for free so that I could review it. I used it on my carpet where my dog had previously made a mess. I found that the spray path was wide, the suction was powerful as you can see the liquid being sucked up. It cleaned the spot on my carpet really well. When I was done cleaning another bonus is the machine is easy to clean. I absolutely recommend this spot cleaner to everyone!

Amazing Little Powerhouse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When we first bought our home in the early 2000s, my father gifted me with a bulky, way-too-big steam cleaner... kind of like a vacuum. I felt like I was the coolest homeowner out there! But unfortunately, it was way too big and bulky to be useful, and it quickly began to gather dust in the back of the utility closet. But this guy..., oh this guy! He's tight, he's compact, but he's just big enough to tackle the really nasty stuff. I'm a mother and a pet owner, so you can imagine we get some stains! So far, I've used it on puppy tinkles, kitty barf, dropped ice cream cones, and little kid spilled milk. The machine is easy to fill with water and solution. All of the tools are on-board so they're always within easy reach, in case you don't know which tool is best for the job. And once you clean up the ick, the machine is super-easy to clean out from top to bottom, inside and out. I'm able to store it on a shelf, out of the way, so it doesn't take up too must space, either.

Good Suction, But Leaks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that this product had good suction, that the scrub brushes work well, and that it's easy to clean up after using and maintain the machine before putting it away. I didn't like that it leaks a lot from the bottom, the hose is a little bulky and doesn't bend very easily, and I wish that both lids came off after cleaning to clean the machine itself a little better. Overall, I would love this machine if I could fix the leaking issue, but I appreciate the free sample that was sent to me by Hoover to test out.

Lightweight and powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks Hoover for sending me the CleanSlate XL Deep Cleaning Spot Cleaner for free to review. When I first opened the box, I saw the attachment bag with a hook to hang in the closet. This is a brilliant addition. The quick start instructions were easy to follow. I had the filled and ready to clean in less than a minute. My first test was a spot where my dog vomited. I'd cleaned up the original mess with a soapy sponge, but when it dried, I saw there was still a stain. The cleaner made that spot of carpet look new. The second test was on an older stain of diet soda. After spot treating and cleaning, the carpet that I treated is definitely cleaner, but the stain wasn't completely removed. I assume the coloring in the soda dyed the carpet fibers. Cleanup was very easy. The parts snap in and out easily. Another new feature is the hose cleaning port. I found it awkwardly placed. Part of the power cord was still wrapped aound the cord keeper, so the hose portal was behind it. I had to wiggle the hose through the cord to get it into the portal, but finally got it in there. This is a fantastic feature! One of my concerns with a carpet cleaner is always that they start to stink eventually because some of the nooks and crannies are hard to clean. The hose cleaner is a brilliant way to make sure nothing is lodged in there. I love it.

Super easy to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got just in time for sick season! I had blueberry pukes on my light carpet. It was really easy use. I really liked the rubber spike attachment. It worked really well on my longer carpet and I felt it really got deep down to clean all the mess out of the carpet. Suction was great and got most of the wetness out of the carpet. My favorite was the ease of cleaning once done. Having parts that trap all the ick you just sucked up is a huge NOPE for me. This was easy to take apart and rise everything out with nothing getting trapped.
