[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The XL has good suction but it is the size of the tanks that allow you enough time to get the job done without stopping to empty the tank in mid cleaning. The self-cleaning feature is easy to use and works very well. The top of the dirty water tank comes completely off which makes it easy to clean and dry. The whole unit is light weight and caries easy even when tanks are full. For the larger capacity it isn't much bigger than the smaller version and comes with several very useful attachments.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me preface this review by saying that I have never used a portable spot cleaner like this. I have used both an upright home carpet cleaner and a rental carpet cleaner, but it's been at least 10 years since I've used either of those. Anyway, there were some stains on my son's carpet that had been there pretty much forever. There were several black/gray stains, a pinkish stain, and three yellow-orangey stains. The machine worked pretty well, removing most of the stains and making others much less visible. I liked the different shapes and materials for the brushes--I used every one of them for different situations. The machine was pretty easy to figure out how to use even though I only read the directions once, and that was a couple of weeks ago. It was also fairly easy to clean, and oh, was that dirty stain water disgusting, although I'm not sure it would be worth it to me to use it and clean it out for just one or two (or even 10) stains. I was unhappy about the amount of moisture left in the carpet, but as I said I haven't used this type of machine before, so maybe the moisture left is typical or even better than other similar machines. I liked that there are storage slips for both the hose and the power cord. I wish that there was onboard storage for the brush heads. One thing that I really did not like was that the handle doesn't lock open. Two separate times, I pressed down on the handle when it was in the up position, and it collapsed, pinching my fingers. That hurt! User error, yes, but also, why not make the handle lock into place?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got my cleanslate XL deep cleaning the work this machine does are definitely fantastic It takes out the dirt instantly and removes the stains. I had some sofas that I hadn't cleaned in 1 year with the machine. They looked like new. It removes all the dirt strongly without leaving any water residue. If you are thinking of buying that machine, I recommend the larger one, it has more strength and you don't need to change the water so many times you will definitely love this machine

I used it to clean up pet stains that were left over on our carpet, and this cleaner was amazing and removing them and the smell. I love that this cleaner is compact yet still powerful. I already have an upright carpet cleaner but the portable size and easily maneuverable nozzle on this have me deep cleaning coffee out of my car, juice out of upholstery, the only thing I'd wish for is a touch more suction to really really dry out those areas but it does work fabulously for my purposes.
