Terrible!

I bought two of these speakers at the same time to be able to use them and party mode or stereo mode. Upon opening The boxes, I noticed that one of the speakers was completely tinged around the edges, almost like it had suffered some kind of water damage. I still tried them and realized that they sound terrible. They make this weird static noise when you listen to them on low volume, which is clearly audible. One of them started making this other weird noise as well. I have returned them and purchased two other ones hoping that maybe I just got unlucky with two defective ones. Sure enough, these make the same weird noises as well. Personally I don’t think these are even worth a penny and they are going back. Absolute garbage.

As one speaker it's nice specially for the price , as a pair it really sucks , connection takes multiple attempts and some times one speaker keeps cutting out then you have to turn everything off and try again , the voice notification is loud and gives you a heart attack at night , I can't believe they released it like this , what a shame for a nice sounding speaker .

Bought this on sale, and for the price, it certainly is a great speaker that puts out a crisp sound. The touchless charging doesn't seem to work, but that's fine, I'd rather just charge through the USB C port.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Received it today - the woofer is blown, so it naturally sounds absolutely terrible. This was on a huge sale and the stores don't have any more, so not sure what they will do. I haven't seen any stories anywhere about blown woofers on these speakers so maybe it's just this one as an exception...
Disappointing.

I'm really about a 2.5 on this rating. It really depends on what you pay for this speaker. At its full price, there is NO way it's worth that price! It is an okay speaker but is very weak on bass, especially for its size. I expected much more out of this speaker. A JBL or Harman Kardan this size would be 10x the sound of this for close to the same cost and would be much smaller than this one.
The wireless base charger is a good idea but it makes the speaker even more "tippy" and the audio prompts are way too loud and not adjustable as many people mention in their reviews.
No audio/aux in is also a big negative.
So...overall, it's okay but I got it at a SIGNIFICANT discount - otherwise, I would have returned it. Don't even consider it at full price - look at the competition.

This speaker is fantastic right at the start, wireless charing station so you can just lift it and go, great idea until the wireless charger stops then you have to just plug it in to charge. All good until you unplug it and get maybe 5-8 hours of music then low battery kicks in and takes over your song and keeps going until it's dead instead of playing your song until I cuts out. The party mode does not work with another identical speaker nor will both speakers connect to a different phone. I use my black one, connects to my Samsung ultra but will not connect to my wifes white one and vise versa with hers. After about a month you start to hear whistling through the speaker while you listen to music, it sounds like wind coming through the speaker when the speaker sits on the same shelf since day one. All in all, this speaker was a great speaker but it needs to be fixed, for now this speaker gets 1 star out of 5 for these reasons. Dollarama has just as good speakers for significantly cheaper for what seems like same quality of sound sadly :( really wish this was not the case because monster always had such high quality of sound and quality of materials :( monster if you are reading this, please fix the issues for the future generations of monster buyers, I will deal with the issues I have with the two speakers I have.

Amplifier - Defective Hissing Noise

Buyer beware, these are defective speakers with the amplifier circuitry making a hissing noise during audio playback, even when it plays the off/on built in sounds you can clearly hear an audible static noise as it goes through the amplifier. It is not the Bluetooth device its connected to which I initially thought until you turn the volume completely down and you can hear an audible constant low static noise.

Other reviewers have made similar comments, it should not be ignored. Monster is obviously aware of the defect and just wants to offload them to unaware consumers.
