For a wired Network it's fantastic. For a primary wi-fi, it's pretty good. But, the guest wi-fi and guest portal features haven't worked, setting up a vpn on it hasn't worked, and seems to have a 50/50 chance of completely losing WAN connection to the modem after a simple reboot.
This isn't my first rodeo setting up a home network, no other major brand has given me this much difficulty.

For the amount I spent on this device, I'm absolutely disappointed. Especially after buying the ROG Ally X, and built my son's PC with Asus GFX card, Mobo, and monitor which have been wonderful, I expected a quality router to match this experience.

We do understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing connection problems. To resolve the unstable connection, place the router in a central location within your home, away from walls and obstructions, keep it elevated off the floor and away from electronic devices that may cause interference. For the guest account access issue, check if the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router. If these are legacy devices connecting to the router, these may not work properly with WIFI6, please check updates for these devices. Also, try connecting this manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz.. Also, we recommend updating the router's firmware if it is running with an older version. Firmware is available for download at: https://www.asus.com/us/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/rt-be88u/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=RT-BE88U .

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, this is a random problem. ASUS provides warranty coverage for the product. This was a replacement for an older ASUS router. Saving the configuration files and loading on the new router was easy. I liked the ability to have more Ethernet ports and the use of SFP for my 10GE LAN connection
