Just started using this router but right now I really like it. I recently got fiber internet and this router made it work so much better. Setting it up the network and adding devices to it was a breeze. I was blown away by all of the settings available and everything that it will do. Great range all throughout my house don't even need any range extenders for it. Very happy with the purchase

So far, the device has worked great. With previous device, had sporadic connectivity and appeared it was on the way out. Have had no inconsistent connectivity with new ASUS device; working as expected. Have never had an ASUS router before, so time will tell but so far so good. Thanks!

As I’m sure many deal with, over crowded frequency bands from neighboring wifi’s. When I scan the wifi channels, I constantly get over twenty competing networks. The RT-BE88U has the hardware specs to overcome interfering wifi’s. I wasn’t too worried about wifi 6 since my previous wifi 6E router, which I had for only six months, was only able to connect to wifi 6 in direct line of sight. The software is first rate with many settings and info at your disposal. The one recommendation I have is to have your wifi channels fixed which made my connections more stable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

For a wired Network it's fantastic. For a primary wi-fi, it's pretty good. But, the guest wi-fi and guest portal features haven't worked, setting up a vpn on it hasn't worked, and seems to have a 50/50 chance of completely losing WAN connection to the modem after a simple reboot.
This isn't my first rodeo setting up a home network, no other major brand has given me this much difficulty.

For the amount I spent on this device, I'm absolutely disappointed. Especially after buying the ROG Ally X, and built my son's PC with Asus GFX card, Mobo, and monitor which have been wonderful, I expected a quality router to match this experience.

We do understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing connection problems. To resolve the unstable connection, place the router in a central location within your home, away from walls and obstructions, keep it elevated off the floor and away from electronic devices that may cause interference. For the guest account access issue, check if the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly and within range to the router. If these are legacy devices connecting to the router, these may not work properly with WIFI6, please check updates for these devices. Also, try connecting this manually to either 2.4GHz or 5GHz.. Also, we recommend updating the router's firmware if it is running with an older version.
