2TB running Win 11

Love this upgrade. Boot time was reduced by 70% and overall performance greatly increased. It’s like my 9 year old computer is new again. You you can run Win11 on older computers… 😁

Reliability is not there
on February 9, 2023

The failure rate on these SA510s is orders of magnitude higher than the standard WD Blue drives. There is a controller difference and the SA510 controller is failing at a high rate. I have installed probably 50+ of these in customer computers over the past year and approximately 20% of them have already failed. That's really, really, bad and does not bode well for the next year. I would avoid this drive until there is an officially published update to the controller/electronics info indicating that the hardware has been updated. Until then I would stick to regular WD BLUE 2.5" drives (WDS100T2B0A) which we have had much better luck with (maybe why they are more expensive).

Horrible Drives, Do Not Buy...
on June 16, 2023
Posted by: Jay C.
Less than a year ago, I purchased 4 of these drives in order to expand my storage space for both my laptop and desktop. 2 of the 4 have died with no way to recover as they will not mount on either may Mac and PC. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, especially if you plan on using them for valuable files, which was my case.

Junk Drive
on October 5, 2022
Posted by: Jason80102313
bought 200 of these, constant windows 10 crashs, drive goes offline, support blames our Dell computers, other drives we use for SSD has no issues. Support did very little testing other then gathering some logs. I suspect we have a bad batch of drives as all serial numbers are close in age.

Didn't use it even 100 hours and nearly nothing written on it. Dead. Firmware Update came too late. Thanks for nothing.

Don't Buy for a Dell Optiplex
on June 4, 2023

This has to be the worse SSD drive made if you are using it in the Dell Optiplex. I bought several and I have near a 100% failure rate. I just can't believe how bad these are.
