do not waste your money, this device could not hold a noodle with its weak magnet and there is no way to add power; what is the purpose of mag safe if there is no way to plug-in power, except the stupid wrapping a lightning cable around this pitiful thing

Not working if iPhone has sleeve on

I bought this as a present for my brother. Now he has it in his car but can't use it because he has a wallet style sleeve and this prevents the MagSafe from keeping the iPhone in place on this mount. Taking the sleeve off of his iphone every time he's driving is just annoying and there is no compatible iphone wallet sleeve (and not many other sleeves, btw), that keeps the phone in place. We have tried at least 4 different cases, wallet-style and other. This car vent mount lacks some supportive part that keeps the phone from falling off when it is in a sleeve.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cheap plastic, MagSafe doesn’t work with any normal type of iPhone case

The Belkin WIC002 should work fine with a case so long as it is an official MagSafe case. Doesn’t work with any case, even MagSafe

I’m have tried this mount with two different certified MagSafe cases and it will not stick through the case. I never use it and for the price, pretty disappointed it only works outside of case.

The Belkin WIC002 works with official MagSafe cases, just set your iPhone 12 series device, case and all, against the magnetic surface and go. Make sure that your device is a MagSafe-compatible phones, and nothing is in between the Belkin WIC002 and your phone. Take note that it can be used with MagSafe-approved cases up to 3 mm in thickness. You may try to remove the case and see if it makes any difference and update us on how it goes by sending us an email at BelkinCares@belkin.com so we can have it checked with our Product Experts. Useless. Does not charge

Good looking product, nice build quality. But utterly useless. Does not charge. At best a holder. I can not understand why one would make this product.

Although the design and construction is excellent, it fails in it's most primary function of holding the iPhone securely. The magnet is too weak with a rubber case on the iPhone. I doubt if most will remove their case to use the product effectively
