Not perfect, but better than all the other options

Function 9/10 (given its limitation) no charging from mount. Style 8/10 (could use color options) white is too garish in a black interior. Price 5/10 absurdly expensive vs. similar products. Build Quality 8/10 (in limited use) solid with good magnetic and friction retention on the phone and vent respectively.

Product looked good but after 9 months, it’s already broken. Not going to buy Belkin ever again.

Nice concept, not that great of a product

I was happy to receive and try this out. I like the way it holds my phone up, however it’s too heavy for my car vents (Honda Accord). With the phone connected or not, it falls down and won’t stay straight/forward. Unfortunately, this causes the AC button to be pressed so I’m periodically having to glance to make sure my AC is still on and the mount/phone hasn’t turned it off again.

Horizontal Air Vents ONLY - READ ME

I purchased two of these today thinking they would work in our three vehicles. This mount actually only works in one of our three cars. I will unfortunately be returning one of my purchases. One of our vehicles is a Chevy Colorado, it has vertical air vent slats. We also have a Honda Accord, that has horizontal air vent slats. Then we have a Ford Mustang with circular air vents. This mount does not stay gripped on to the vertical air vent slats in our Chevy. It slips right off the vent as soon as you stick the phone to the magnets, very disappointing. In the Honda with horizontal vent slats, this mounts up great. It stays firmly where I put it, and it holds the phone no problem. I will keep the mount for the Honda. Lastly we have our Mustang with circular vents, the mount works somewhat on this type of air vent. Because the vents themself can spin and the blades are curved, there is too much instability and wobble when the vehicle is moving down the road. I have no complaints on the build quality of this product or strength of the magnet mount itself. My only wish is that there was more information available in product description or on the packaging identifying which types of vents this product is compatible with. Now I must endure the challenge of making a return at the Apple store during these days of Covid. Mask Up!

Strong hold, but doesn’t charge

When I purchased this, I didn’t even take note that it wasn’t also a charger (like some other brands). The “grip” of the MagSafe works great - even in bumpy roads. Just disappointed it lacks charging capabilities.

Sadly I returned it

I preordered it as a gift for my wife and waited for a month in great anticipation. Sadly I did not read the specs carefully and it does not incorporate wireless charging. It's pretty and the magnets are strong but no wireless charging?
I probably would have kept it it that were the only issue but the vent clip requires a very thick vent blade to maintain a grip. Neither one of our cars had vent blades thick enough to keep it firmly attached. So the strong magnets work against it here and even when you use a peeling motion to remove the phone, the base detached and shifts sideways.
I returned it and bought one with wireless charging and a rotary clamp to ensure a firm fit.

Does what it says, and does it well.

I’m not sure how people on here are giving this a negative review, and saying it doesn’t hold. It clearly states in the description that it works with the official apple magsafe cases. As far as vents go, there are so many options out there, can’t expect belkin to make something that fits everything 100%. But it sure fits 90% of cares with different vents. No product is ever to everyone’s liking but this one is pretty good. I’ve bought three of these and so far all is well. In my Ford F-150 it’s holds my heavy iPhone 12 Pro Max without any issues. And I live in New York, the capital of pot holes and bumps. So far have had no issues in the two weeks I’ve owned this.
