Outstanding, love this in my car. Only thing I wish it had as charging, but I knew this when I bought it. My iPhone needs to be plugged in for CarPlay anyways and this MagSafe mount facilitates that nicely.

Ruined my 2020 air vent lever

I went to move this off of my air vent lever and it is too tight it literally pulled off that part of my car. i now have an air vent missing one shelf and cannot for the life of me put it back in. Also, why does it not just charge wirelessly? Such a waste of money tbh.

I’ve been searching for the right Car mount MagSafe charger for my car. There are several well thought out options in the market place. Thought I’d give my old friends at Belkin the first opportunity for my business....... but was sadly disappointed. Your Research dept needs to work with, not against, the Development Dept. You were so close, yet the obvious eluded you. Even Reese’s knew to include the chocolate with the peanut butter cup. They didn’t look around at their competition and see they all had chocolate and peanut butter, but thought “Naw, if the customer wants chocolate he’ll just have to get it himself.” Unfortunately guys, you’ve lowered the bar on this one instead of razing it.
What customer who has a phone in a dashboard holder, not want it to be charging while driving..... logic would indicate none! And if you own a Mag Safe phone where technically you don’t ever have to plug the phone in, then a mag safe phone mount and charger would be as logical as air and clouds, they just go together.
You guys are better then this.........

Worthless and expensive

The iPhone 12 Pro is already heavy, and the distance between phone and ventilation is so huge that the vent "cannot carry" the phone, so the mount goes from left to right, up and down.... and do have a good German car, brand-new, also the white color is awful in the interior.....And the price!!! And no other Car Mount to use for iPhone 12.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Belkin WIC002 comes with a silver color, and it is designed to work with vehicle's vent slats of up to 3 mm in thickness and of up to 20 mm in depth. The vent mount works best with straight, horizontal vent slats, but can also work with vertical vent slats. When using with a vertical vent slat the mount may move slightly if the mount is overloaded with weight. Unlike other products that are similar, this one does not allow for actual wireless charging via the magnetic connection, which defeats over half the benefit of having the device for your iphone 12 which has this capability. This wasn’t clear to me when I purchased this and I am disappointed.

Why doesn’t this charge?!

I’m baffled upon receiving this as a gift that it doesn’t charge. You thought to provide a place to drape a charging able through. But didn’t take the further step to just allow us to plug in the cord to this so it could use the MagSafe to charge the phone.
It also doesn’t hold well, I expected the single line under the circle to help securely hold the phone in place but a speed bump at a low speed knocks the phone loose.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
