Vent clip is very weak. I have the iPhone 12 mini and it still wasn’t strong enough to hold it in the car vent.

Have you tried using it with a different car perhaps? It could be that the vent is too deep causing the mount not to lock properly. Magnet is great, vent clip worthless

I bought this item for my 2020 Silverado. Clipped it on vent clip and does not stay up. I have iPhone 12 Pro Max with Apple MagSafe Case. It holds phone great, just that stupid clip. I ended up breaking off the clip and glued it to regular suction mount. Waste of money!

The Belkin Car Vent Mount PRO with MagSafe is designed to work with the vehicle's vent slats of up to 3 mm in thickness and up to 20 mm in depth. The product works best with straight, horizontal vent slats but can also work with vertical vent slats. The mount may move slightly with vertical vent slats if the mount is overloaded with weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really impressed with this magnetic mount. It was very easy to install and hold my phone well. Like most magnetic mounts for the car, a big bump in the road will knock the phone off, but it's a very decent magnet. I really love the cord holder on the back- it's a feature I wouldn't have even thought about, but it's very useful and keeps things organized.
