This is a reluctant upgrade from my Gear 3 series watch. I'm very happy with the Galaxy Ultra. I couldn't be happier with my selection. Highly recommend it to anyone searching for a new watch.
It's my first smart watch from the Samsung brand I buy. I am satisfied with my team. The only thing is that it has very intrinsic applications from its operating system and they do not work with other Android systems.
Just upgraded from my Samsung Watch 5 to the Ultra. In some ways it's not much better, and in other ways the 5 is better. I have three main reasons for getting a smart watch: basic time features (clock, alarms, timer, stopwatch), notifications (like text messages and emails), and basic health sensors (like step count and heart rate). For health monitoring, the Ultra has more sensors, sure, but none of them are a reason to upgrade for me. For notifications, I want to go back to the 5. On the Watch5 I could choose a single app to use a different sound for its notifications than the sound used for the other apps. Love this feature. I hoped that the Ultra would go a step further and let me choose unique sounds for more than one app. But instead, the feature is gone and all notifications sound the same. For the time-related features, nothing is changed. I would love to see some improvement in the alarms and timers, but this never happens.
