I really love this device, packed with great features and easy to setup. Only complaint so far is when you put it in sleep mode it eats the battery for some reason.

The Ultra is an awesome device. But I've had nothing but problems since upgrading from the 5 Pro. If my phone dies or I turn it off, my number sync doesn't work and I'm not able to text with the watch on its own. ATT hasn't been any help. It's not the RCS issue, I don't use Google messages. Even standalone texting through Samsung messages will not work unless the phone is powered on somewhere.. I've tried everything I can think of and I'm very disappointed. Test this if you haven't.. I just want to text from my watch if my phone is off. It shouldn't be this hard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Samsung watches allow you to use number sharing to make that call with a Samsung Smart Watch. With this feature, your phone and smart watch can share the same phone number. Samsung Watch Ultra with Verizon embedded

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the watch 5 pro but it was causing a rash under the watch on my wrist. I thought I would give Samsung 1 more shot. So far so good no rashes yet (keeping my fingers crossed). The watch has a good design. I know this one is a tiny bit thicker than my other watch but when it is on my wrist if feels and looks smaller than my old one. I use my watch for quick view of my notifications from my phone. I do respond to text message on it also. I also do the number sharing with my phone to watch. I am religious in sleeping with my watch on my wrist to track my sleeping and I use the data to to compare to my CPAP machine to see how I slept that night. I don't feel there is much of a battery increase from my watch 5 pro either.
