The operation of reading text is good; it flows well with the screen layout and provides a quick response. The battery life is the reason I bought this new watch. My last Samsung lasted about two days. I had previously purchased a different brand of watch that offered 28 days of battery life, but it did not have the necessary programming & features like the Samsung interface. Therefore, I switched back and bought this new Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra, which lasts about three to four days. i was hoping the new watch would get at least 15 or more days of battery life.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great size. It is large, but it blends in. It is smooth when using multiple features. The screen size helps with reading or when calling someone.
The watch bands can be switched out easily and quickly. I like the push button lock. I have three different styles and colors. You can customize for your day or event.
The volume is loud and I specifically like the emergency alert ping. I am a hunter, and I can see the need to alert for help at times. This in line with the track back feature in the hiking app really helps a person get back on track or get out of unfamiliar territory. Hell, it could just be a parking spot. Lol

I guess I was expecting more. Definitely cool to be able to change watch bands and faces to fit an occasion, but a little screen is just that. Trying to enter a number or (yikes) text with big fingers is maddening.
The fitness thing is just irritating, much like an electronic wife nagging you. The "Is today the day you pursue your fitness goals?" notice is Uber irritating, and turning it off continues to elude me.
Being able to carry on a conversation while the phone is charging is great. Finding additional charging solutions, not so much.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
