This is my third Sony TV and I am very happy with one exception. This last Sony I purchased the remote does not have a number keypad

The remote is designed with simplified buttons for ease of use and advanced voice control. If you press the "Menu" button on the remote, it will make a number pad appear on your screen when needed. I had recently purchased this TV to replace my 6 year old LG OLED. I loved the OLED, it's the best picture I've ever seen, but after just over 4years of usage burn in started to happen. So I decided to get something besides an OLED and let me tell you while this TV picture isn't as good as an OLED it comes very close. Very little blooming in dark scenes and the upscaling on the TV is awesome. I have very little to complain about this TV, but there are a few things that I wish it had. First, a back-lit remote, I watch most of my movies in a dark room and a back-lit remote would have been great. The second is the stand, while I like that there are multiple configurations for the stand, when they are used in the narrow configuration the TV sits to low to put a sound bar in front of it. I had to buy an aftermarket stand to use, because the TV wouldn't fit on the piece of furniture I have it on with the legs at the wide position.

Your insight regarding with the remote control is highly appreciated and will take note on that. About the TV stand, the XR65X93L has 3 stand positions (Narrow, Standard and Soundbar Position). You can actually set the TV stand to a Soundbar position if you wish to put a soundbar in front of your TV. Here are the dimensions of the TV stand for your reference.

Always have been a SONY fan in the past. Kind of disappointed in this Sony modelThe remote is impossible to open to get to the battery when it comes time to change it. The picture comes and goes as far as being very clear to fuzzy when watching sports or movies. Not sure if it is the TV, itself, inadequate HDMI cable or the sateliite box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
