Purchased this TV and a Sony soundbar HT-A5000 with the understanding that the TV’s center speaker would work with the soundbar. After 6 phone calls/chat sessions and spending over 6 hours with the Sony support people, they tell me the marketing materials are in error and the TV’s center speaker will not work when soundbar is on. What a disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi RJ Arizona, We appreciate the feedback and apologize for the inconvenience that you've experienced. The Sony X93L should be compatible with your Sony HT-A5000 soundbar. Please note: The S-Center speaker input is compatible with the HT-A9, HT-A7000, HT-A5000, and HT-A3000 soundbar models. I would highly suggest you follow the step-by-step procedure on this link on how to properly use your TV speakers as a center speaker with your soundbar.
