Great picture okay audio

The picture quality of this TV is very good even without any adjustments. The audio is just okay, Great when hooked up to external audio system. While I like the remote there are a few flaws. Easy to accidentally touch buttons plus at this price point it should be backlit.

Aside from an external sound system, you do have the option to adjust the settings of the TV to fine-tune the sound quality to your needs. For more information, please refer to this link:

The remote is designed with simplified buttons for ease of use and advanced voice control. If you press the "MENU" button (Control menu) on the remote, it will display a menu on the TV to use button functions that are not on the remote control including number buttons for channels. Some features can be accessed quickly by pressing the Quick Settings (gear icon) button of the remote control. You may find this link helpful:

Got this a week ago, and I love the picture quality. The only thing I don't like so much so far, is the remote control. For such an expensive TV, I was expecting a researchable backlight control, but instead I got the very basic one.

Regarding your concern, if the Home screen always displays when the TV is powered on, the Power on behavior setting is set to the Google TV™ Home screen. Quality of image outshines the competition

I returned another brand of 65" TV after less than a month of use due to quality of the screen image and lack of sound quality. The brand that was returned was highly rated by various online sources. I purchased the Sony 65" and found not only was the picture much clearer, the sound was improved over the previous brand. The Sony had snap-in panels to close in exposed cables which creates a more upscale overall appearance of the unit since it is sitting on a TV cabinet and not mounted on the wall. This is a premium quality unit, thanks Sony.
