Great fun for a quick game night

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game was a very simple to learn and play. You are trying to collect colored stones to add to your personal animal boards. Each board has a combination you are trying to make. Slightly strategic in that you have certain cards that you use at your own discretion to decide how many stones you draw, you have to both not have too many or too few. Add in a trickster coyote to prevent your opponent from playing on a card and it quickly becomes a game of wits to finish! With more animal boards than you play at one time, you can change the cards you play to several combinations but they instructions so give you a couple combinations to start. We played several rounds with the first example combination the first day and never got bored. We then switched it up and it plays the same and never got boring for us. The game itself doesn't take long to play at all so it can be a quick way to spend time or play several rounds for a family game night. I personally think this would be a great classroom inside recess addition!

Beautiful game perfect for 2 players

The game has both English and German language, so it could also be a fun teaching tool for anyone learning German. It’s a great game for one on one time with you tween.

Beautiful strategy game

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Spirits of the Wild: Awakening is a beautiful two-player board game in which players use tiles and spirit cards to collect vividly colored stones. This game is easy to learn and play. Each of the boards requires a specific combination of stones that players need to make, so the game requires some strategy to decide how many stones to draw. The trickster coyote is a fun addition that allows players to stop an opponent from playing on a card. The game doesn't take very long to play, so playing multiple rounds with different boards keeps game play exciting and fun.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful game for two, requiring light strategy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, this game is absolutely gorgeous. The artwork on everything, not limited to the box, is beautiful. I love that all game materials are in both English and German. It was really easy to learn and play, but still felt engaging after playing over and over again, and it left myself and my daughter wanting to continue playing multiple times with the relatively short "rounds" of gameplay.
This game is quick enough that it's easy to do a play-through before bed, which makes it a great way to close out the day with someone special. My daughter loves getting together after dinner to play to wind down for the night. Sometimes we get one round in, sometimes we get 3 or 4.
I also love that the game can be altered slightly by switching out the animals (though we already have our favorites), but remains the same overall. It's been fun to learn a little in German from comparing the English and German cards as well.
Overall, a beautiful game that has a quick gameplay that anyone can pick up and learn. The only thing I wish was different was if you could play with more than 2 people.

A little complex, but a great game!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a little complex, my 10 year old son struggled with understanding how to play it. But if you love animals it will be a great learning game for you! Could use more help with the directions as we had to look up extra help with playing.
