[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10yo daughter and I played this. The first time was a little bumpy, trying to get used to the rules, etc.
It was fun, but toward the end, it gets a bit more difficult as the gems are being used and the pieces are more scarce.
Overall we had fun.

It's a completely different kind of game, than what I've played before.
I wish we could use more Spirit Cards, and more people than 2 could play. I also think we over thought on some of the rules.
I'm looking forward to playing again, and getting used to the rules.
I'm not sure, if I was shopping in a store, I would understand it enough to actually buy it - but I'm glad we were able to try it and continue playing it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fun, Engaging, Easy to Play Game for 2 Players

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter and I LOVED this game so much, we played it twice in a row. The game was easy to setup - Just punch out the cards, get everything out of the box and we were ready to go. I read the main directions outloud. They were easy to understand and follow. Then we dove right in and played our first round of the game. It went quick (with the 5 crystal gem rule the game can be either QUICK or NOT, depending on what gems come out of the bag). Each animal board has clear directions for scoring and gem matching. One of the best features is that there are so many different animal cards that each time you play the game it will be unique and different. On our first round of play we picked animals we liked. On our second round of play we closed our eyes and randomly picked animal boards! Both ways made the game fun and exciting. Neither of us wanted the game to end!! Additional directions are provided about the animal cards and spirit cards if you need them, but honestly we only had to look at them once when we were uncertain of one thing. This game is going to get LOTS of playtime in our house!

Fun and engaging for tweens, teens and adults!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Played this game first with my 13 year old and he loved the strategy behind the game and the opportunity to compare the English to the German. He then taught my 11 year old and I love they can play it together! The fact that there are so many different combinations you can play with the different animal cards make it exciting and different each time you play.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Gorgeous - tricky but relaxing once understood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A gorgeous game. The idea is great and it has lots of varying animals for the board play. It is a bit tricky to remember all the rules at first and understand how things work and how they affect the over all game - but once you get it down, it's a nice and relaxing game to play. My son is 13 and gets a little frustrated still. But after a few times playing I'm sure it will be fine. Great quality and like I mentioned before, gorgeous. ONLY FOR 2 PLAYERS!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Spirits of the Wild: Awakening Relaxing, Light Strategy Board Game with Beautiful Art is absolutely amazing! It's only 2 players to play which is great. If you enjoy stones and animals then this is the board game for you. It's so fun to play and any age can play it which is great. This is definitely a good board game to play on a family night.

Feels incomplete

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I played this game with my 10 year old daughter. She loved the theme of the game. After reading the rules we played through the game. Something about it felt incomplete. The coyote seemed just move back and forth but never have any real effect on the game play. The concept of this game is fun but gameplay is lacking in excitement and any true competition. Maybe it can be improved upon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We found the instructions a little confusing at first with the different types of animal board, and the action tiles, but once we played a few rounds, we got the hang of it. We recommend it!
