The antenna was so strong, I really didn’t need the pre-amp and other amplifier.
It came on time and was all I hoped it would be.
I for sure would deal with antennas direct another time.

I have this inside my attic at the moment, but am working to move it up to the roof. There was a BIG difference between having this on my first floor and having it up another 10' higher inside my attic. I suspect I'll see even more improvement once it's outside on my roof (again, another 10' higher). I got a LOT more channels than I expected, based on the signal map!
I do recommend a pre-amp if you are trying to pick up weak signals... that made a big difference too!
I will come back and change this from 4 stars to 5 stars if I am able to pick up the NYC stations (70 miles from me!) after this goes up on the roof! Fingers crossed!
But I am already getting stations that are about that far away (I'm in Poughkeepsie, NY and I am getting CT stations from Hartford and New Haven!).
I do recommend a pre-amp if you are trying to pick up weak signals... that made a big difference too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a Winegard elite 7550 after speaking to a winegard rep and reading the great reviews, got only 6 channels, the same amount as the window antenna on the wrong side of the house facing the wrong direction, was an amplified antenna as well. Returned it and bought the DB8e, now have 13 channels without an amplifier, going to buy an amp now to see if it gets even better.

Installed with RCA Preamplifier. Picking up 28 channels. All but two have 4 bars on reception, two have 3 bars. 4 is maximum. This is at 50 to 60 miles.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Am in the country had requirement for both canadian (news mainly) and American channels, Canada albeit closer picks up london, Paris, kitchener. Across the lake roughly 60 miles nbc cbs, ABC, Fox, and PBS, and all subs Snr approximately 75%.

So, it was pretty easy to put up - however, the stations seem to fluctuate a bit. It is outside and not very high off the roof about 23ft is our main pole mast - and about 4 ft from the roof. All in all, it does a decent job I get anywherr between 44-52 channels on any given day. I might use an amplifier down the road, but for now it should be fine. Prepping the main-mast took the longest and getting a game plan together really is essential before mounting it. It took us about 30 minutes for me to set on our roof and dail it in as best as we could...
