This antenna was easy to assemble with clear instructions. I mounted it to the end of my home and pointed it using a website and my phone. Extremely easy to do. We are between two cities (~50 miles in different directions)… we pick up about 70 extremely clear channels! So happy with this antenna!

Great, powerful antenna

I live in Gulfport Mississippi and I installed this antenna outside pointed towards NewOrleans which is 60 to 70 miles away from my home and I’m picking up 70 channels In New Orleans and the GULFPORT Biloxi area combined. It works better without the amplifier than with the amplifier. The antenna I believe was too strong and does not need an amplifier due to the 17dbi gain.

Great antenna, with a caveat.

I have two broadcast centers located about 100 degrees apart, and at 38 and 65 miles away from me. The gain of these antennas is much better than the ones they replaced, but the idea of mounting them on the same mast didn't work well. I ended up separating them from each other as much as my attic would allow. That improved the overall reception of both groups of broadcast centers.

Works great in The Villages

This antenna was suggested by Antennas Direct to supplement a Clearstream 5 for my area (the Villages Florida) which is relatively far from the nearest broadcast towers. The Clearstream 5 was OK on its own; however, together, these antennas produce fantastic reception. Both are located in my attic and were purchased as part of bundle that also included a combiner and a pre-amp. Very happy with the products, the reception, the value, the ease of installation and not having to monthly fees to get local channels!!!

Interesting idea, but no advantages for me

This antenna allows reception of stations that are in different directions. In my case, it didn't work better than a fixed 8-bay UHF antenna aimed at a distant station where local signals are strong enough. Assembly takes some time and care. It's unwieldy to install if you have not tightened down the bays to prevent them from moving during installation. It is easier to install with both bays fixed facing forward. Aim the bays after the antenna is mounted.

This big boy helped pull in 80+ channels in my metro atlanta home. Was easy to assemble and get aimed. If you have the space, its worth the money to go big and get more channels

Poor reception

I bought this antenna to replace an inexpensive yagi type antenna and am very disappointed. The yagi
received 5 stations from about 51 mi away, the db8 gets 2 and they are both on the backside of the antenna about 21 mi away in the opposite direction. I get nothing on the front side of the antenna. The antenna is mounted in the same position as the yagi was, I have a rotor and a mast mounted preamp and no matter which way I aim it I get nothing except the 2 off the backside. If I aim the front at the town where the 2 stations are I get nothing, only off the rear of the antenna. I've been involved in amateur radio for over 30 yrs and this one has me confused.
