Nice antenna, I like the ability to be able to receive from two different directions that’s why I selected it, I specifically did not want VHF, just UHF only.

DB8e antenna - not for me

Does not work at all. I received fewer channels (none, actually except the local OSU PBS stations) than I did with the Clearview 2 antenna. A big disappointment, especially at the price. Would not recommend this antenna.

Hi Miles, we are sorry to hear you're not receiving all the available channels for your area. Please give us a call. There are many factors that can cause TV signal interference, like terrain and obstacles between your home and the TV tower which is most likely why you are not receiving certain channels. We would be happy to provide you with a free signal analysis in your area to offer better troubleshooting tips to solve the issue. We are available M-F 9am to 7pm at 877-825-5572. We are here to help, even if you have already returned our antenna. Thank you for your purchase and honest feedback.

Fine for 56 miles in flat Florida from towers. Needed a booster for the lower powered PBS only. Simple assembly. Nice it allows pointing in different directions if needed.

We wanted to be able to watch channels scanned in at night to be available for viewing anytime. This high gain antenna has done the job for us.

Great Antenna

I bought this antenna, will admit instructions aren’t that clear - would recommend they get a new technical writer and rewrite these - luckily found a YouTube video and had it not together in 15minutes - I have it next to TV in basement and it’s has great picture, all DTV sub channels - next is to get it up on roof and distributed to house - I have 30 channels all clear, very happy with this antenna - always go with a high gain ant. With greater distance than you need. I am with in 30miles from most all antennas and this High Gain - 70+ mile antenna does great!

DB8e is a very sensitive highly directional tool

I live in a fringe reception area; transmitters are distant and terrain is a complicating factor. I had tried other antennas with mixed results. But the DB8e is definitely the best tool for the task that I've tried. It is very sensitive to picking up marginal signals and highly directional; just a little bump one way or the other and you can lock in on the best options. It also offers the capability of adjusting one panel at a slightly different angle than the other; in effect, almost like having two antennas. This high tech antenna, combined with the expertise and great customer service at Antennas Direct, may be the answer to you fringe reception area headaches!

Happy Customer

This product solved my reception issues. I live in an area 1/2 way between San Francisco and San Jose. Each city has its own area for TV station broadcast towers--they are in different directions, around 25-35 miles from my home. Most major stations (ABC, NBC, CBS, etc.) have broadcast towers in both sites. Unfortunately, 2 stations (FOX and PBS) are each only in one of the two locations. That means I need antennas to be optimized for both directions if I want to get all channels.
Originally I tried an omni-directional antenna. It worked OK much of the time, but seemed to cut out at times. Typically when my wife's favorite program was on. Bad news for me! By aiming each half of the the DB8e in a different direction, the problem was solved. Happy wife, happy home now.
Assembly was easy for me -- under 30 minutes. But I am very careful. I check every part first and ensure I know what it is, where it goes and which side is the front/top. I loosely fit everything first, before tightening. I read the directions from start to finish plus watch YouTube video before starting assembly. If you just rush in, you'll still get this assembled properly, but it will take 2X as long.
My other observation is that I used a website to find the exact direction of the TV towers and then I aimed the antennas with a compass app (Compass from melon soft) on my android cell phone. Aiming is pretty sensitive -- if you are off by 30 degrees (easy if you just aim by eye), don't expect good results. I got things right the first time, which saved so much frustration.
