[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This antenna was recommended for installation in Highland IL in my attic. After adding booster, it still did not pick up all channels, so I had to install outside on my roof. Works fine outside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We cut the cord with cable and are located between 2 cities (Cincinnati and Dayton). We get most stations very well with the installed antenna. We do split it to 4 TVs. We purchased Antennas Direct's splitter/amplifier which made a world of difference. Don't split 4 ways with out it.
Take care on the handling of the antenna during installation. I mistakenly picked it up to move it by a bowtie and the bowtie broke off. The antenna still works,I wonder how much better it would work if I hadn't broken off one bowtie.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First let me sTate I live in the worst possible location for a TV antenna. The property is down at the bottom of a low area and we are located 50+ miles from most transmitters. We also are surrounded by a thickly wooded area.
So when you consider all that, the DB8e is actually pretty amazing.
The antenna itself is located at the peak of my roof, putting it about 24' above the surrounding grade. The transmitters are to our east, south and west. I have the reflectors pointed to the southeast and southwest to pull in a CBS and ABC affiliates out of Greensboro/Winston-Salem and an NBC affiliate out of Raleigh. Distance to the transmitters (ABC and NBC) is about 60 miles. I will definitely recommend having some type of signal strength meter to aim the antenna. I just looked at a map the first two tries but the third time using the meter on a TIVO box made all the difference.
My signal is still weak to moderate but 90% of the time it is sharper than what I had with cable. ONce in awhile I see a little pixelation but I got that with cable too.
I did try a preamp on the mast. For some reason, the signal strength dropped with the amp so I returned it. The company that sold it to suggested another more expensive amp with an LTE filter. I get a total of 29 channels and of those only the ones coming from station 16 break up to any degree. Believe it or not 16 is only 25 miles away but located northwest of us.
Over all I am very satisfied with my purcahase. I think if I had one more array on the antenna I might get 16 better but it is not a station my wife an I watch a lot anyway.

Got very helpful technical advice regarding the proper antenna for a difficult situation (pretty clear shot at a major metro area 45 miles away, and a high ridge in the way of a mega-metro area 20 miles away, at almost 180 degrees in opposite direction). Was told not to expect too much from the channels behind the ridge, but this antenna pulls in all the channels I could want from both areas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picks up most channels ok. Still have a few channels that get blocks occasionally while watching a channel.Think my old directional antenna did better with no occasional blocks on those channels.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 84 crystal clear Chanel's. I live between Chicago and Milwaukee and pick up all Chanel's. I have two facing both directions.
