Great pictures but....

Received this camera as a replacement for a Flex S in late December 2025 Charged it for 24hr then installed it in the field. The camera is paired with a SPLB-22 Lithium solar panel as well as a LIT-22 Lithium battery. The camera and the solar panel get full sun all day. With the SPLB-22 panel this camera should almost run forever as according to the information about the panel states that this panel will run the camera unless it is discharged and the the internal batteries will then run the camera. Unfortunately the internal solar battery will fully discharge within about 7 days. The camera averages 2 pictures a day. I have retrieved the camera half a dozen times and recharged it the results are the same every time as the internal solar battery goes dead in about 7 days. On the status display on the app it shows the 12 Volt panel in use which should mean it is powering the camera and the internal batteries should not be in use or drawing any power. I had a Flex-S running the same solar panel and battery setup fail in a similar manner immediately after updating the firmware??? I also have another Flex-S with the same setup running the factory original firmware and it has been running flawlessly for over a year

Great features, battery life could be better

Love being able to take instant photos, camera quality is good as well. Solar is nice, if you get good exposure. If not getting good sun (where I live sunlight isn't plentiful in winter at least), it seems to really kill the backup batteries fast. I was hoping the regular batteries would hold up just as long as the original Flex camera, but that seems to not be the case.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst camera and service ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought multiple spy point cameras and have had nothing but problems. The first camera I put out failed. I tried to contact Support, but there is not a human to speak with. The AI assistant was totally unhelpful. These cameras cannot be depended on if you cannot get to them frequently. There are many other cellular cameras available that are much more reliable. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Excellent new features

This camera is a total package. Has everything you need built in. The solar panel keeps it charged so no battery changing every month. It also has the new dark feature that allows you to be totally undetectable at night, and as always it takes great photos and videos.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The rain is getting inside

Ive had this camera for about 10 months and water is getting inside. There is no reason I can find that the swater gets in but when I open the bottom, water pours out and now it has stopped responding.

Flex-S Do not buy save your money

I bought a Fkex-S camera 2 years ago. It has never worked as advertised. The camera does not maintain a charge. After the initial charge, instructions say plug into 120volt power using included cable and wait until charging light turns blue, did that done that. Put camera outside, pointing South and wait until the solar charged battery dies. Bring it in, repeat charging process, repeat. The definition of insanity is keep doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. This camera is the definition of insanity. I may as stated with battery powered cameras. I own 12 SPYPOINT cameras. One and only one solar powered camera from SPYPOINT and it will be only that one. Going back to battery powered cameras. I have better luck. Oh yes. Also did firmware updates as well. Pretty much check all the boxes.

Easy to use camera, quality product

I have had this camera for a year now,...very pleased with it. I have never needed to use batteries, as the sun has provided all the battery power needed. I can make seetings changes with the spypoint app from home, making this an ideal camera if hunting property miles away.

Très décu du signal de la caméra

Je possède déjà une FLEX-M avec le gros panneau solaire qui fonctionne à merveille dans ma zone de chasse. Je voulais acheter une deuxième caméra et le conseiller spypoint ma recommandé une Flex-s-dark pour surveiller mon autre saline dans ma zone. Malheuresement, celle-ci ne capte aucun signal et ne transmet donc 0 photo, en plus de décharger la batterie et le panneau solaire à une vitesse fulgurante, malgré plein soleil. La Flex-M au même endroit, même arbre, même angle, etc fonctionne à merveille. La Flex-S-Dark fonctionne seulement dans un environnement ou le signal est fort. La service à la clientèle ne peut rien faire. Très déçu de ce produit. Je suis membre insider aussi car j'adore la Flex-M.
