Fast but furiously HOT!

Hot to the touch each time i plug it into a PC (say less than 5min), some quality issue here? I am so worried about the temperature that I will backup a backup copy onto the machine just in case. Some quality issue here?
Was hoping it has some password lock/unlock feature out of the box, so I can securely access files on any device with it, seems the only way for security is through installing a San Disk Memory Zone app on machine to encrypt a specific folder, then use same application to decrypt, which means each and every machine needs to install the application before I could access those encrypted files each time. I just need a level of security, not a wall of China.
Good thing is the speed is super fast!! avg 250MB/s!!

The drive supports SanDisk Memory Zone app on Android, Windows, and macOS devices for data encryption.
