Hello Jo, Thank you for sharing your concerns about the thumbnail quality. To shed light on our process, all photos captured by the camera are originally in HD quality with resolutions of 1920x1080. These HD images are then stored on the SD card. Before being transmitted to the app, they are converted to a lower resolution of 600x338. However, users have the option to view the original HD-quality photos by simply inserting the SD card into a computer. This alternative is available for those who choose not to purchase the HD photo package. I bought this camera 6 months ago. Its very dependable and love the solar panel and I don't need to change batteries that saves me time and money.

Great camera

I purchased this camera to monitor my bee hives.
Still too early for Black Bears. But have had moose deer coyotes and rabbit pictures sent. Very handy to have now I know what’s going on around my land.

Solar panel issue

I purchased camera in solar to save money on battery's, the solar version does not help at all should have got the non solar for cheaper and went ahead and purchased the spypoint rechargeable battery. I contacted spypoint and was told to make sure the solar pa El is facing the south for atleast 3hrs direct sunlight a day. On a full sun day the camera still doesn't charge I'm at a loss of why and have repositioned the camera a few times with no better results in the battery charging solar. Other than that I'm very impressed with the camera and results of photos it has taken in the past 4months of owning it.

If the internal battery reaches a low level, the camera switches to the backup battery until the internal one is recharged, ensuring optimal longevity for both battery systems. However, several factors, such as signal strength, SD card connection issues, battery orientation, and camera settings like transfer frequency, delay, multishot mode, and the number of times the unit uses its charge, can impact the charge level on the panel. Awesome battery life

Bought my spypoint and since setting it up I've only had to charge the battery 1 time and could have let it go for alot longer just did it because I was youst to other similar cameras that would have missed pictures because of low battery. I really like this product.
