Using it only with the remote. After 3 happy years, it was no longer working. Could not reprogram the remote. Bought a remote module from Firman, pluged it in and now, I am happilly using the generator again. Thanks Firman

Great unit but a bit louder then i was expecting

Great unit for an RV as the remote makes your morning coffee easy as you don't have to go outside to start the unit. But once under load like running the AC it does get a bit louder then i was expecting. However this common with all generators. I don't understand why 'they' can make a car with a much larger engine quieter then any 'quite' generator. Put some R&D into a better muffler please and it would be the perfect unit. Would just like to be a courteous camper while using my AC all day / night.

DECENT GENERATOR FOR THE PRICE BUT......

I bought 2 of these at the same time along with the parallel kit . Both units have the same symptoms: The engines surge, rpm goes up and down and will not hold a steady smooth rpm. I use these at the race track to supply power to my trailer, charge the race car after a pass, run blowers ETC... At times I have come out and found one or both had cut off and needed to be re started. Not good when you don't have time to troubleshoot what happened and why. I have found the issue seems to stem from the carburetor being too lean and not delivering enough fuel. I can partially engage the choke on either unit and the surging goes away, engine smooth's out and no problems.... I took off the covers and removed air cleaner assembly to reveal absolutely no way to adjust the carburetors on these units, they are throw away pieces. What is that saying about the longevity of rest of the unit?
Pros: GOOD PRICE POINT QUIET AND RELATIVELY LIGHTWEIGT
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have built a mounting bracket for this generator over the propane tanks on my camper and my wife and I are anxious to try it out this winter while we are snow birding. I wont have to go out early and start the generator for my wife, she can just press the button.
