Dark and muddy
on September 28, 2025
Posted by: Xymon
The value for size and resolution is undercut by the subpar contrast. Any UHD content that has 'dark' scenes is completely unwatchable, with the TV only showing things as all black, and with zero configuration options to improve the experience. Non-UHD content plays just fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Xymon: It’s unfortunate to hear you’re not fully satisfied with your DU7200 TV’s image quality. Below are a few settings that I recommend adjusting: Go to Home > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage: 1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments. 2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience. 3) Movie: Most suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room. 4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. 5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching. You can also go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image. If you need more help, Samsung is here for you. Call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website. We appreciate you sharing your experience with the DU7200 TV. Your feedback regarding image quality is essential to us and will be shared with our internal teams. ~ Samsung Ambassador

Removing beloved features has me looking...

The unfortunate thing about buying a "Smart TV" is that the manufacturers totally have the right to remove the exact feature for which you foolishly switched to their brand.

A good TV
on November 6, 2025

Overall, I would say this is a good TV. I have had it for about a year now.
The picture is very good. My only wish is that when you have a very dark scene that the picture to be brighter. At the moment, I have brightness at 100 and it is still too dark .
The Wi-Fi connection is OK. I think it could be better. I find there’s a little bit of a drag buffering when I’m using the remote on the various apps.
I wish the remote had number buttons on it since I do use over the air and going up and down on the guide is that what I really like. I bought an additional remote to allow for that feature.
Overall, I would give this TV an eight out of a 10 and would purchase this television again

Remote much to be desired
on December 6, 2025

First the remote is small and has no numbers so to go to a certain channel you have to scroll through all the channels in between. Second I need the closed caption because of my hearing and if I switch between antenna channels and apps then back to antenna it doesn’t work so I have to unplug the tv and plug it back in to get captions, if I shut captions off on apps before switching to antenna and wait about a half hour then turn them on again they will work but if I turn them on right after I switch to antenna they won’t work, it’s crazy, I have a 46 in Samsung in my bedroom I’ve had probably 8 years you can leave captions on no matter which channel I have on it’s great other than captions and the remote the 65in has a great picture.

Otis Day:
We appreciate your thoughts on the DU7200 TV’s remote.
Please know that many of the buttons on your remote have multiple functions. For example, you can push the Volume button UP/DOWN to adjust volume, and to MUTE the sound, you need to PRESS it in. If that same button is pressed for longer than 1 second, the Accessibility Shortcuts appear. Pressing the RETURN button (looks like a curved, backwards facing arrow) returns you to the previous menu; pressing it while watching a program will take you back to the previous channel.
If we can help with anything else, please call us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. LiveChat with an agent as well as manuals, software, and warranty info can be found at the ‘Support’ link on our Samsung website.

Great Picture!
on December 9, 2025

I really like my new Samsung TV. The picture is wonderful; clear, crisp, and the colors are beautiful. I am quite upset that the new televisions lack sound ports on the unit themselves. I wear hearing aids and wanted to get a device that would allow my hearing aids to pair with my tv using Auracast Bluetooth technology. This technology sends the audio directly to my hearing aids so I can hear the tv without increasing the volume and annoying family members. The devices require sound ports from the tv and will not work through a sound bar or HDMI cord. By removing the sound ports on the television sets Samsung has overlooked the hearing impaired population of Americans and put the Auracast technology out of reach. I really wish that Samsung would consider making models of the new HD televisions with sound ports to allow for Auracast & Bluetooth transmitter devices like the ReSound TV Streamer, Adantree Audikast Transmitter, HomeSpot Transmitter, and other similar transmitter devices. Instead, I am forced to use the CC function and reading subtitles, which are sadly not available on many streaming services (without a prolong procedure of going into the settings every time you are watching). Further, CC is not available for many commercials and I have found lags or is totally incorrect. Samsung please consider offering models with the old red, yellow and white sound ports.

Beautiful Viewing

I upgraded from the LED 43 Samsung model to this one. My only grievance is the TV legs, they won't stay on when I got it out of the box. As of this writing they're being supported by duct tape. Once I'm in my new place, I'll try again and see if the TV can be supported without tape.

This product has meet my expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I first bought it, I couldn't imagine how it would look when watching movies or playing COD in nice, sleeky crystal screen. It's so lightweight and very slim. Love it so much!

Great Television

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never had a large television before I purchased this one. Being retired and handicapped it is a blessing. The picture is so clear that I can make out the tiniest of objects. Better that watching a ballgame in person…no bugs.
