Great picture, poor audio selection in ports.

I bought this TV about a month ago and I love the picture quality and the extra goodies that come with it like Samsung Plus. The only problem is that it has no digital optical in ports so I can't use my old speakers that I had hooked up with previous Samsung TV. I have trying digital audio conversion kits and nothing seems to work. Even to hook up a Vizio soundbar it will not feed audio to soundbar. Why I didn't check for digital audio ports I'll never know. Why would Samsung offer a TV so great with so limited audio in ports?? Not everyone has soundbars with HDMI connections. I've been messing with this issue for about 3 weeks now, about to give up. Help!!

Buyer beware! Stops working after a few months.

Buyer beware! This TV worked for just shy of 5 months before it completely shut down. In the middle of watching a show, the tv just turned off. What's even worse is that now it's flashing and we can't turn it off with the remote or manually. We tried resetting the circuit breaker and still can't turn it off. It's just been flashing for 5 days straight, and sInce the TV is mounted on the wall, we can't even unplug it until we can get the installer back out to the house to take it down. Total disappointment, especially since we typically like Samsung products. DO yourself a favor and buy a better quality TV if you're getting one this large.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this Samsun crystal DU72000 and I should have gone with the Westinghouse like my wigs said. Maybe you could print right on the box what or what not this tv will do no 3.5 port no optic port closed caption doesn’t work what a disappointing experience I have a Samsung that is 25 years old that runs circles around this heap of wires

Please know that the DU7200 TV does offer closed captioning options. Most streaming Apps have their own Settings for Closed Captioning. Go into each app and locate the settings icon to enable Closed Captioning.
To access all other Closed Captioning Settings, go to Settings > All Settings> General > Accessibility > Caption Settings.

This TV is phenomenal!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The picture on this TV is amazing, Tizen TV with the same apps as on a firestick, love the setup of the home screen, Chromecast built in & the remote even controls volume for my Bose speakers through eARC. Best TV I've ever purchased!
