TV won't turn off | Trapped in Smart TV

I have two specific problems that annoy me very much: 1) The remote itself has no exit or return button for going back to my cable box when on Smart TV screen (my old Samsung had that). It can be done but now takes a few clicks -- that's REALLY inconvenient. 2) The TV keeps turning itself back on! After powering off with cable remote, the TV eventually comes back on??? I've never seen this before. Only the TV remote turns it off for good.

It’s unfortunate to hear your DU7200 TV is turning on by itself. Please try a few troubleshooting steps that may help solve the issue:
1. Unplug the TV from the wall outlet or surge protector and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds. 2. Check the power cord to see if there is any visible damage. 3. Plug the TV power cord back into the wall outlet. If you were using a surge protector, bypass it for now and use a wall outlet. 4. Try to update the software. In some cases, a software update can correct the problem. There is a risk, however. If the TV turns off during the software update, it could damage the TV. Updates can take up to 30 minutes depending on network speed, so if the TV is not turning off too frequently, try updating the software. 5. Disable the Power On with Mobile option. TVs that can connect to SmartThings can be turned on using compatible devices, sometimes automatically. However, if abnormal "power on" signals are sent through the wireless network, they will trigger this function and make the TV turn on. If you do not want this function, navigate to Menu > Settings > All Settings > Connection > Network > Expert Settings > Power On with Mobile, and turn the setting off.

Solid budget option

It’s an affordable and quality tv. I didn’t realize before I bought it, but I wish it had an optical audio output. Needing to use an HDMI to connect to my audio system was annoying but otherwise zero complaints.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We have three of them they were easy to hang on the wall and connecting components was very easy. I’m over 60 so sometimes it can be a challenge making connections.

We appreciate your feedback on the Samsung DU7200 TV. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your Wi-Fi disconnecting from the TV.
First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. To ensure you do not miss any Firmware Updates, I recommend enabling Auto Updates. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update> then select Auto Update.
Next, let's try running a cold boot on your TV. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.

Amazing colors and intuitive menu. You can download all the apps you need to watch and personalize the menu. Surf the web, watch “Live TV”, play games or just do like me and scroll and never find something to watch because there is too much to choose from
