Don’t buy- great pic but horrible sodtware

Picture quality of the 70” du7200 is pretty darn good especially in this price point….however the huge letdown is the garbage “Tizen” OS it’s saddled with. The interface is laggy…and sometimes it simply won’t respond only to decide to respond to all of the button presses at once. Removing the Samsung tv plus app seems to fix about half the issues…and that makes the UI tolerable-barely. It’s sad that a decent tv with decent sound is saddled with such a poor software system. Also the Alexa functionality is mediocre - Alexa devices can control power and volume, nothing more. That’s far from “compatible” in my book. Samsung dropped the ball with this OS system, and I can already see what future updates will quickly do to it. If I had it to do over again, I would not buy this tv at all. It’s simply too buggy. It feels like it’s an early beta test that should have been sent back for tweaking before being released.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate your feedback on the response time, and for optimal performance, we ask that you please ensure you've got the latest firmware version installed on your DU7200 TV. You can check this by going to Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care.

Be Aware of Samsung TV's

BE AWARE OF SAMSUNG TV'S, You must, repeat Must have and maintain a Samsung Account to watch your TV, Everything you watch goes throw Samsung first then to you. Also if the Samsung Network goes down, you can not watch anything on your TV, NOTHING. So if your thinking about a Samsung TV, Just be aware of what you are agreeing to! BE AWARE!!!!!

An okay TV

An okay TV that doesn't get half the channels other TVs get. The remote has such a narrow range that it is a pain in the butt to try and watch because it's hard to switch channels.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
