Picture quality is not worth how terrible it is
on August 23, 2025

Although the picture is great, this tv is awful. The most infuriating tv I’ve ever had, let me explain.
1.) When you turn on the tv it starts playing some random show on the free tv app or some random movie before even clicking anything.
2.) There’s no “night mode” and you can hardly turn down the brightness for when you don’t want the screen blinding you at night.
3.) There’s no Chromecast and only airplay (I have both even on my Vizio). Chromecast is far superior.
4.) When playing a show while airplaying, it doesn’t continue to the next episode when the it’s over and instead makes your recast all over again.
The picture quality is not worth how awful everything else is about this tv. I’d do anything to trade this tv with even the worst Vizio.

It’s unfortunate to hear you’re not completely satisfied with your DU7200 TV.

While your DU7200 TV may currently default to Samsung’s TV Plus app, please know you can choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Menu > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Start Screen Option

1) Enabling Start with Smart Hub Home automatically launches Smart Hub when the TV is turned on. Navigate to this option to enable or disable the feature.
2) If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app is automatically run when you turn on the TV. You can turn this function on or off by pressing the Select button in the current menu.

You can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings to help with the brightness of your TV.

I hope this helps to improve your experience. Should you need further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

65" Samsung TV
on August 24, 2025

Love my samsung tv. The tv color is bright and isn't faded and goes all the way to the edge of the 65 inches edges. I got a sound bar with the TV and it comes on and the sound is just what I needed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I HATE this “smart” tv
on August 27, 2025
Posted by: Ihate50ClassCrystalUHD
The absolute worst “smart” tv ever. All the “smart” tv functions are beyond counterproductive and make using the tv way harder than it needs to be. It almost forces you to use the functions, has constant pop-ups at the most frustrating times, and constantly tries to make you use the samsung remote instead of connected device remotes which never makes sense. This tv has made me want to never buy or use another smart tv from samsung ever again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible user interface!!! Fine picture quality.

Terrible user interface on the TV. Over the air channels, once selected, conflict with the Samsung TV Live channels, one keep replacing the other. And no, I don't need game apps on my TV, I want to be able to switch the channels without TV fighting with itself!

Vvs7:

While it’s great to hear that you’re loving the picture quality of your DU7200, I’m very sorry to hear of the difficulties you experienced with the interface. Samsung TV Plus can be disabled, which removes the channels from your default guide. Should you want to disable TV Plus, follow the steps below:

1) Navigate to the Samsung TV Plus app and press and hold the enter or select button on the remote. This will bring up two options. ‘Move’ and ‘Remove.’
2) Navigate to ‘Remove’ and select. This option brings up the ability to remove the app icon or disable the service.
3) Navigate to ‘Disable’ and select. This will remove the service from the launcher bar and the channels from the TV Guide.

Alternatively, you can leave TV Plus enabled and utilize the Autorun Last App feature to automatically start the last app you used once the TV is turned on. To enable this feature, follow the steps below:
1) Navigate to Settings > All Settings> General > Smart Features > Autorun Smart Hub
2) Enable the Autorun Smart Hub feature
3) Navigate to Settings > General > Smart Features > Autorun Last App
4) Enable the Autorun Last App feature

I hope these tips help.

Substandard, Subpar, Pile of Junk
on September 2, 2025

Want a TV that the schedule guide works when it feels like it, the virtual on screen number pad to change channels works on only one screen....maybe, how about the previous channel feature only works on over the air channels not streaming channels use to work on both when I first got it but not now. And don’t forget the wonderful blue screen blanking out with the message “mode not supported" for 5 minutes or so then after that the time and date are off by hours and days making the channel guide and information worthless. This blanking out feature goes on and off every few days with no pattern or reason. And the best part is this happens within 6 months of purchase and that wonderful Samsung warranty can’t, won’t or doesn’t want to fix it. They replaced the motherboard and I think it's worse because I didn't have the blue screen problem till after that. And all I get now is them stringing me along and no solution. So if you want all these wonderful features and warranty this TV is for you. But if I could do it over again I wouldn’t buy this substandard, low par piece of junk TV. To bad you can’t give negative stars I wish I could I’d give this thing and Samsung minus a million stars. Check out the one star reviews you will see the same compliants. So do yourself a favor no matter how cheap this thing is DON'T buy it. I wish I hadn’t bought it and knowing what I know now they couldn’t give it to me or pay me any amount of money to take it. They won't fix it and I"m stuck with it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Denise: We are glad that you reached out to us regarding the display issues you are seeing on your Samsung DU7200 TV. I have a few recommendations that may resolve the white spots you are seeing on your screen. First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. Next, run a diagnostic test. Go to Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test. If there are no issues during the Picture Test, this means your TV is working fine. To identify and fix the issue, first, try replacing the cable of the external device that is showing lines. - If the shadows still appear after replacing the cable, troubleshoot the external device. - If shadows appear during the Picture Test, proceed to the next step. If dots/shadows appear during your test, the TV will need service. Please reach out to us so we can schedule a warranty appointment. 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. LiveChat with an agent, as well as manuals, software, and warranty info, can be found at the ‘Support’ link on our Samsung website. ~ Samsung Ambassador
