Absolutely horrid

I wish I could afford to put it in the junk. The color is terrible and nighttime scenes are so dark that you can't make out the characters features. Samsung has walked me through actions to correct the problem. But that just makes it worse. I wanted someone to come out to fix. But that service is not available. They wanted me to take it back to factory settings. But then I would need to reset up my Netfix, etc. I am 78 years old. Sad that Samsung does elderly abuse from not wanting to send someone out so I can enjoy my TV
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Sharon,

I’m sorry to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the DU7200 TV’s picture quality. You mentioned already trying some settings, but I will put a few below just in case.

First, let’s ensure you are running the latest Firmware Update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.

Next, If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.

For darker scenes, I recommend Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic.

Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings.

You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings > All Settings> General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.

I hope this helps to improve your picture. Should you need further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

The sound on the unit was horrible. Had the tv for one month and the main board became inoperable. Not pleased with this purchase. But I also have another Samsung tv that I’ve had for 17 years that works perfectly!!

Worst tv

The MOST obnoxious TV I've ever owned. The voice thing, i can never get rid of it and Bluetooth is anything but reliable consistent
Response from Samsung USBy Samsung AdvisorJune 20, 2025
Hi Jenuflec,

Thank you for sharing your concerns. If your TV is announcing everything you do, the Voice Guide feature is likely turned on. This is an accessibility function designed to assist users who are visually impaired, and it may have been activated accidentally by holding down the Volume button on your remote.

To turn off Voice Guide, go to: Home > left directional key > Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Accessibility > Voice Guide Settings > Voice Guide = OFF

If there's anything else we can assist with, please don't hesitate to contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM – 12AM EST, 7 days a week. LiveChat agents are also available through the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Yep it's a tv

I am probably not the best person to review tv. I don't watch tv. But Samsung keeps pestering me to review it. I bought it to have available when people come to visit. I have turned this on twice when we had company. It seems to function as a television. My only complaint is my cat sits on the remote and that turns it on sometimes. That's a me problem not a defect with the television. But if you have a cat you might want to put the remote out of reach of cats.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great picture. The rest, not so much.

The picture is beautiful, but there's no voice/sound leveling and navigating the menus to set up a sound bar was a nightmare that I had to look up on line because neither of the two TV's came with any instructions other than the annoying "tutorial" which was absolutely useless. When I'm watching Netflix and some music comes on during the movie, the sound booms. Then the volume has to be adjusted up again to hear voice when the music ends.
Response from Samsung USBy Samsung AdvisorJune 20, 2025
Hi TV watcher,

Thank you for sharing your experience with volume fluctuations on your Samsung DU7200 TV. Sudden changes in volume can often be related to audio settings or content differences between sources or apps.

Please try the following adjustments to help stabilize your TV's audio:
1. Enable Auto Volume. Go to: Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume. This feature helps maintain a consistent volume level when switching channels or apps.
2. Change Sound Mode. Try a different sound mode to see if one offers a more stable output: Settings > All Settings > Sound > Sound Mode (We recommend Standard or Amplify for more even performance.)
3. Check External Devices. If you're using a soundbar, receiver, or other audio device, check that its volume leveling or dynamic range settings aren’t interfering with the TV’s audio.
4. Update Firmware. Ensure your TV is running the latest software, as updates may include audio improvements: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now

If the issue persists after these steps, please don’t hesitate to reach Samsung Customer Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM – 12AM EST, 7 days a week. LiveChat is also available via the ‘Support’ link on our website.
