It is a good tv. Can be a little difficult to add applications to it. Wish they streamlined the process a little more, it overall a decent tv. Good picture. I am happy with mine and would purchase again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi Brankind,
We appreciate you sharing your experience regarding an unusual sound coming from your TV. The cause may vary depending on where the sound is coming from and how your system is set up.
• If the sound is coming from your TV speakers, or if you're using an external audio device like a soundbar, please double-check that the audio cable is securely connected to the correct audio output on the external device. • If you're using an antenna or cable connection, a weak signal may result in sound distortion. You can check your broadcast signal level by going to: Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Broadcast Signal • If the sound seems to come from the back of the TV, it may be the result of thermal expansion or contraction of the outer casing. This can cause a soft popping noise and is considered normal - it does not indicate a malfunction, and your TV remains safe to use.
We also recommend running a Sound Test to check for audio issues: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Sound Test
If the issue continues or you’d like assistance, feel free to contact Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, available daily from 8AM - 12AM EST. You can also visit the Samsung website and click on ‘Support’ for: • Live Chat • Manuals, Software, & Warranty Info

Audio sometimes does not work
on June 20, 2025

Overall, I like this TV. Color is nice. There have been issues with the audio. 4 or 5 times, I have needed to do a cold re-boot of the TV in order to get the audio to work. This is with both the TV speaker and with the Samsung sound bar I purchased.

Hi Ron H,
Thank you for your review and for sharing your experience with audio interruptions on your DU7200 TV. If you're experiencing sound dropouts, the steps below are designed to help you troubleshoot across different connection types.
HDMI ARC / eARC Connection 1. Use a certified High-Speed HDMI cable with Ethernet and ensure it's firmly connected to the HDMI eARC ports on both the TV and soundbar/receiver. 2. Enable ARC/eARC settings on your TV: o Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > HDMI eARC Mode = Auto o Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) = On.
3. Adjust Digital Output Audio Format:
o Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format o Set this to Auto unless you're using a device that specifically requires Pass-Through.
4. Cold boot your TV by holding the power button on your remote for 5+ seconds.
Also Try: • Update your TV's firmware: Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now • Run a Sound Test to verify internal sound functions: Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Sound Test
If you’ve tried the steps above and are still experiencing issues, we’re here to help. You can call Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM – 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking the ‘Support’ link at Samsung.com.

Tv is extremely basic in regards to functionality with alternative audio sources and the tvs own audio is very low quality- first Samsung tv to ever disappoint my family - not having optical input and HDMI/ARC unresponsive
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
