Good TV But Lacks toInputs Besides HDMI

For the most part, I like our new Samsung 65” DU7200. It works well, has great video resolution and has a number of builtin streaming capabilities/options but… My main complaint with the TV is the lack of input and outputs. It has 3 builtin HDMI input, cable, one USB, Ethernet and that’s it! There’s no fiber/optical connection or the old 3 connector AV input options. I realize the older 3 input AV connections are somewhat outdated but we still have some devices which use those. As for the optical connection, there’s none. I have a couple of devices which require the optical cable and I’m not able to use this on the new TV. All this to say is, verify your needs before purchasing any new TV to make sure it has the capabilities you require.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horrible quality, may not buy Samsung again.

Bought this less than a month ago and it is pretty bad. Will be return for refund. First: there is no audio output, no 3.5mm or optical. I purchased an e-ARC HDMI audio extractor and it will not work, even AFTER CONTACTING support. The e-ARC only seems to work with Samsung sound bars. Second: apps as Netflix will lockup after using them for 4-5 days, it is worse when using the "Autorun Last App" . The only solution is to reinstall the app
I have owned a 40" JU640D series TV for over 8 years without a single problem, sound, optical 3.5mm audio works great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for your feedback. Please know the HDMI eArc should be compatible with other brands of soundbars. After connecting your soundbar, please try the following steps:

1) Please check the volume control of your TV, and then check the volume control of any external devices (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between any external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.

2) Set Sound Output to the TV Speaker by going to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Output.

3) Check whether Digital Output Audio Format is set to Pass-Through by going to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > Auto.

Finally, we ask that you please ensure you've got the latest firmware version installed on your TV. You can check this by going to Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

I regret he purchase.. there’s no optical input so I can’t connect my Sonos system..
The return time had passed so I had to buy a cheap sound bar just to improve sound

The DU72000F TV offers 3 HDMI ports and is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capable, allowing a seamless connection across multiple devices at a time. If your external device requires an Optical port, we recommend utilizing an HDMI to Optical Converter. These can be found at your local electronics store. Please also keep in mind that an Optical port can be found on our DU8000F Series and above.

Terrible remote and no written instructions

Can't get rumble app anymore

Please know our app list is constantly updating and we recommend enabling auto-updates to ensure you do not miss any Firmware Updates. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update> then select Auto Update.

Please know you can also use the screen mirroring technology available on your TV to screen share from your mobile device to the TV. To wirelessly connect the DU7200 TV to your mobile device, go to Smartphone Screen Sharing (Smart View) in the Connection Guide and then try to connect.
