We recently covered our patio. We purchased this TV. Beautiful color, crisp picture and the confidence in the product to not worry. Now I'm looking for a soundbar. Thanks Samsung.

Great features and TV

This TV replaced one that had a problem covered under an extended warranty that was too costly to repair, so it was replaced with a newer model. We love our Samsung which has a great picture and color, as well as love the additional Samsung channels. I do not like the newer remotes- they are not disabled or elderly
Friendly but can be replaced with the old model remotes to make it easier to use. Great tv!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very UNHAPPY and a suggested remedy.

I purchased this large TV for my wife (I have three other Samsung TV's, but older mode;s)/.
1. She is VERT UNHAPPY with it, as she has eyesight challenges and SHE CANNOTH SEE WELL ENOUGH TO NAVIGATE THE COMPLEX MENU!.
2. The remote control HAS NO NUMERICAL KEYS, and THE BUTTONS ARE SO SMALL AND STREAMLINES, SHE CANNOT FEEL THEM ACCURATELY.
All she wanted was to be able to turn it on and off, and watch local ON-AIR TV stations, and SHE IS UNABLE TO DO SO.
I have been a biomedical telemetry engineer for over 50 years and I see no reason why SANSUNG cannot provide several menu-selected BASIC modes of operation (including old-school and ON-AIR only modes) which could, by menu selection, be made DEFAULTS at turn-on.
Your high-end TV's are a major investment, and the hardware necessary is already in-place. Please seriously consider such a suggestion. If you have a look at the current world demographics, you will see that we are an increasingly aging dynamic, and you could serve us better with such menuing.
You asked "how we really feel", now you have it.

Thank you for choosing the DU7200 TV and for your review. Please know we do offer a setting as you described in your feedback. You can choose what your TV does when you turn it on by going to Settings > All Settings> General > Smart Features.

When you set Autorun Smart Hub to be on, the TV displays the Home Screen automatically when you turn the TV on.

If Autorun Last App is set to on, the last used app automatically runs when you turn on the TV. You can turn this function on or off.

To enlarge the Menu on your screen, navigate to Settings, then Accessibility, and select Magnification or Zoom Menu and Text.

Sorry we bought it

We replaced an older one with this one. While bigger, it has a lot of obnoxious problems. About once a week it freezes and we have to disconnect the cable box for a bit and then it has to reboot. The volume is extremely variable between stations and even commercials on the same channel. When you change the volume it screams your change. When you turn it off or on it makes this really loud tone. Loud enough to wake someone if you turn it off late. It is bigger but definitely not better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate your feedback on the response time, and for optimal performance, we ask that you please ensure you've got the latest firmware version installed on your DU7200 TV. You can check this by going to Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care.

Next, if your TV is announcing everything you do, then Voice Guide is turned on. Voice Guide is an accessibility function to assist users who are visually impaired. It is possible that you have turned it on by accident by holding down the volume button on your TV remote.

To turn off Voice Guide, navigate to Home > Settings > All Settings> General > Accessibility > Voice Guide Settings > Voice Guide.

Finally, please try adjusting the following Settings to improve your experience.

The Auto Volume function automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume = On.

You may also want to perform a Sound Test under Support > Self Diagnosis > Start Sound Test.
