HonestRick:

Thank you for sharing your experience with Wi-Fi connectivity on your DU7200 TV. You might want to go through these steps to check your network connection:

1. Check the distance between the TV and your modem or access point. The distance should not exceed 50 ft.
2. Minimize interference by not using or turning off wireless devices. Also, verify that there are no obstacles between the TV and the modem or access point. (Wi-Fi strength can be decreased by appliances, cordless phones, stone walls/fireplaces, etc.)
3. Unplug both your TV and router. Remove both power cables, wait at least 30 seconds and plug them both back in.
4. Check the connection between your router and TV. Please review the points below:
• Is your router connected to the TV using an ethernet cable? If not, we strongly recommend using an ethernet cable connection on your TV. This will ensure your TV maintains a consistent connection to the internet.
• If you’re already connected using an ethernet cable, make sure that the ethernet cable is working and is not damaged. You can test the cable by connecting it to other devices, such as a laptop, to make sure that your ethernet cable is not damaged.
• If connecting to your TV using an ethernet cable is not possible, please move your router as close to the TV as possible. There should not be any obstructions between your TV and router, such as walls, other electronic devices, etc.
5. Perform a network test to check if there is a network problem: Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis> Smart Hub Connection Test
6. If you’re still experiencing issues, a factory reset may be needed. Keep in mind that this will restore all TV settings to factory defaults. Go to: Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > Reset.

I hope the above helps. Should your issue persist, please reach Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM - 12AM EST, 7 days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.

Beware of the remote

Excellent picture and sound but very poor remote Picture is crystal clear, initial set up was remarkably easy and navigation on-screen is great. All these deserve kudos, As for the remote, this ranks as the worst remote I have ever had, and I have had many over my lifetime. The remote has to be aligned perfectly to the exact right spot on the TV to operate. For example, if I'm lying on the couch and just pick up the remote and just aim it at the TV and then push buttons, it will not operate, I need to sit up and align it at some prescribed perfect angle to have even a remote chance (pun intended) of changing channels or volume. To have a remote like this is inexcusable in today's technological world. I will pay more attention to the remote's capability and ease of operation when purchasing my next TV.

Great picture in size and quality. Navigating through the various apps and program can be a problem because the remote provided has no numerals on it. If you want to go from channel 4 to channel 44 or 4400 you have to just scroll instead of putting station # in you have to scroll through all the other channels in between. Frustration and disappointment in changing stations in direct fashion has created a sour taste for all that is good on this TV

I love the picture quality and clarity! I have been a Samsung customer for many years now. I do wish the remote had voice option like my Roku remote. I would like to know how to get one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lacking basic feature

TV is fine. But. I hear my TV thru a very nice streaming device that connects to the TV via either optical audio, RCA, or a headphone jack, streaming TV sound directly to my cochlear implant. WAY better than closed captioning. This new TV has only HDMI outputs. Samsung told me HDMI is sufficient for audio outputs when I contacted them. I purchased a couple of third party devices that claim to convert HDMI to any of the options on my streamer, none worked, wasted time and money. I contacted the company that makes my streaming device,
they told me my new TV is flawed. I agree.

Hearing challenged: Thank you for choosing the Samsung DU7200 TV and for taking the time to provide us with detailed feedback on your experience. Your opinion is important to us and will be shared with our internal product teams. The DU72000F TV offers 3 HDMI ports and is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capable, allowing a seamless connection across multiple devices at a time. If your external device requires an Optical port, we recommend utilizing an HDMI to Optical Converter. These can be found at your local electronics store. Please also keep in mind that an Optical port can be found on our DU7200F Series and above. If you have any questions or would like any support with your audio experience or choosing a Samsung Soundbar to complement your viewing enjoyment, please reach out to us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. jim1: Thank you for your feedback on the DU7200 TV! Your TV offers 3 HDMI ports and is Bluetooth and Wi-fi capable. If your sound system requires an optical out port, you can utilize an HDMI to Optical Converter, which is available at most electronic stores! Samsung remotes are designed to be convenient and useful, but we understand if you’d prefer to use a third-party remote, whether it’s a universal remote, a game controller, or something else! Whether you are replacing a lost remote or using an alternative remote to help reduce clutter, a third-party remote is a great option to use to control your Samsung TV. I hope this helps! If you ever have questions or need help, Samsung is here for you! Give us a call at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. We have our TV hooked up to Comcast cable, it was effortless, plug in the cable and relax, and enjoy TV.
The picture is clear, bright, sharp, and the colors are vibrant and amazing
The viewing is superb, for use technology challenged folks, it's a fantastic product.
Literally just a plug and play item. It's my very first Samsung product, and I will be purchasing more of this brand,in the future. A very good product. My first 65 inch TV, don't know why I waited so long.

Robin:

We appreciate your feedback on the Samsung DU7200 TV. I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your Wi-Fi disconnecting from the TV.

First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. I recommend enabling auto-updates to ensure you do not miss any Firmware Updates. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update> then select Auto Update.

Next, let's try running a cold boot on your TV. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.

I hope these tips help resolve your concerns. If you are still experiencing issues, please give Samsung Customer Support a call at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. Our LiveChat agents are also available by clicking on the ‘Support’ link on our website.
