This latest purchase is probably the fifth samsung TV I've purchased. So far I never experienced any failures, some of the TV are on at least 17 hours a day.

Wrecked two receivers trying to connect with eARC

Bought this to replace an older flat screen. Tried to connect to receiver with eArc cable and wrecked two receivers before realizing it was the T.V. Tried different cable. Tried different speakers. Smoked both of my receivers, blowing fuses in one and doing unrepairable damage to the other. Stay as far away from this tv as you can. It was cheap and built to stay that way.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Problems with sound

Received as a gift in December. In four months, I’ve had 3 problems with the volume. Sometimes it goes off completely. Sometimes it makes a horrible, loud buzzing sound. So far it is easy to fix by unplugging and replugging the TV but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Brightness

TV is not bright enough. The remote control didn’t come with voice control.

Hi Brian,

It’s unfortunate to hear you’re not fully satisfied with the brightness of your DU7200 TV’s picture. Please know that we are here to help you.

First, let’s ensure you are running the latest Firmware Update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.

Next, If the colors on your TV are correct but just a little too dark or bright, you can try adjusting Picture Modes, Contrast, Brightness, or Sharpness settings.

For darker scenes, I recommend Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic.

Or you can manually adjust the Brightness by pressing the HOME button on your remote, then navigating to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings.

You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings > All Settings> General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.
