Excellent Picture, terrible TV remote

I got this a month or so and its been amazing. The color, the picture. The only issue is the TV remote, is not very easy to use. You can't just put a channel number it, it's a whole process. It's touchy. If there is a easy was to get a better remote I am up to best about it.
