Excellent TV

I upgraded from a 47" Samsung TV, and I liked it a lot, however it was starting to have some issues. This new 55" was a huge upgrade in picture quality, and the UI as well. My only gripe, and it is minor, is there was no longer an optic audio out going to my existing soundbar. So, I had to upgrade that as well to an e-Arc HDMI connection between the two which seems to be the new standard. All things considered, I am very happy with the new TV and Samsung Soundbar. The setup up was seamless and very easy, and I am blown away by the features, picture quality and sound quality.

Smaller, slimmer remote - hard to understand.

I’m disappointed in the slim remote. I have 4 Samsung devices because I enjoy the many channels offered on Samsung TV. The remote change was not good for me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My Samsung 55" TV review

Nice TV but where can I find the option to download an app? Also, I do not like the remote. It is too thin and the volume button function does not work well. Incorporating volume up/down and mute is not user friendly.

Regarding your remote, please know we understand if you’d prefer to use a third-party remote, whether it’s a universal remote, a game controller, or something else! Whether you are replacing a lost remote or using an alternative remote to help reduce clutter, a third-party remote is a great option to use to control your Samsung TV.

It pauses during the live movies. Not sure why, but while I was watching the movie there was too many stops.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate your feedback on the response time, and for optimal performance, we ask that you please ensure you've got the latest firmware version installed on your xxx TV. You can check this by going to Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

You may also want to further optimize performance with the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees up unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to: Home > Menu > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care.

If this is happening when watching cable TV or through an antenna, I recommend checking all connections and ensuring your external device is up to date with the latest Firmware.

If you believe this may be a Wi-Fi issue, we suggest you try the following:

1. Use 5Ghz Wi-Fi if possible
2. Try wired LAN if available
3. Try repositioning the router so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router
4. Try running a cold boot on your TV. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.
