We bought this just before Thanksgiving for a Christmas present. It remained in the factory box until 3 days before Christmas when it was set up and installed on a tv stand. Initially the picture was great and the set up went smooth. This is a secondary tv and we don’t watch much so it has not had a lot of use. On Jan 7th we noticed lines on the left side and middle of the screen. We have tried to complete support requests on the tv and on the Samsung website however they both fail. Extremely disappointed that this tv hasn’t even worked for 2 weeks!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Seen better bright room performance on older model

Poor brightness, you can't even see dark scenes in movies or TV shows. Ive tried all adjustments I couild figure out. Non-intuitive startup AND ADJUSTMENT SCREENS. Should be good right out of the box, but it's not.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your DU7200 TV. In addition to the several picture modes on your TV, you may also want to try adjusting additional picture settings if your picture is not to your liking.
You can go to Home > Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings and configure the TV settings to your taste with functions such as Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness, Color, Tint (G/R), and many more.

I’m worried about Samsung! Bought a new tv - it lasted 10 days before it died. Bought my switch n a new tv. Bought 11/30/24. It died 1/11/25. Not the Samsung I remember.

Sound Problems

Sound does not get very loud. I installed a sound bar and even with that the maximum does not get very loud.

Thank you for sharing your experience with low volume. One possible cause for this is the source. Some sources have their own volume control, which might be set too low.
Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.
Next, please check whether Digital Output Audio Format is set to Pass-Through by going to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > Auto.
We recommend you try a Sound Test under Support > Self Diagnosis > Start Sound Test. Another way to check the source volume is to test an internal streaming source like Netflix or YouTube to compare.
You may also want to select from several Sound Modes and advanced settings to meet your personal preferences. Press the Home button on your remote, and then navigate to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Mode

I Hate my Samsung TV!

I wish I could give no stars. This TV sucks! It’s constantly freezing and I have to turn it off and on. It’s new but worse than TVs I had over 10 years!!! Hate it!!!

Terrible sound but decent picture

We always buy Samsung tvs…however this one isn’t the greatest. The picture is pretty good but the sound is so bad we couldn’t watch it until we got a sound bar. We were definitely disappointed. We will still continue to buy Samsung though.

This is my third Samsung TV in about 15 years. Would not buy another t. V other than Samsung. Yes, they are a little pricier than other TVS, but you get what you pay for.
I would recommend this to a friend!
