Christmas present to myself

Bought for a Christmas present.
So far, everything that I've viewed (best with sports like football, and nature documentary) has exceeded my expectations. Blu-Ray movies (via a separate Blu-Ray player) are great. However - there is one item that truly doesn't meet the standards above. THE REMOTE. So far, I've experienced less than stellar use.
Dish doesn't have the remote in the list. I've had to change the battery 6x in over a month. Sometimes the volume works, other times NOT. Sometimes the tv will turn on, sometimes NOT. Except for the lame remote, I'd give 5 stars.

Great over all . But the remote control it’s very slow to response and you have to be very close to the tv . Also you have to aim . . Wasn’t expecting that .

Too difficult to set up.

The TV works as I expected. The picture is better than our old Samsung and the streaming services that we use work much better. However, in my opinion, the TV took too long and was too difficult to set up because of the many security steps. It took us about 3 hours and several facetime calls to our son-in-law for technical assistance to complete the setup. We are not concerned with TV security. We have no concerns that someone might learn what shows we are watching. In fact, despite all the security steps, we believe that information is being collected by the streaming services and our internet provider that we use and we don't care. What happened to the days when you buy a TV, bring it home, plug it in and it works? I suggest that Samsung develops an alternative setup process for those of us who are not concerned about TV security. I would appreciate a response from Samsung to my review.

I gave up and returned after first night

RETURNED AFTER ONE NIGHT :: way to hard to log in or set up acct when Samsung started going down hill years ago I switched all my Samsung to another brand I buy a lot of tablets TV’s figured I would try a cheap tv to see if Samsungs over all experience was still the same it’s way worse now as a whole try something else first
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had this tv two weeks and it has shot the crap already not a good tv Roku before this one lasted 4 years
