Worth the money

A beautiful TV, crystal clear with perfect color. The rating would be 5 stars were it not for the remote which is small and hard to read. Consequently, I use the Samsung remote for off, on, volume and mute and another smartTV remote, larger, easier to work, for everything else. The Samsung remote is the only drawback so far.

Worst TV I have ever owned. The color dynamics are terrible. There are no interfaces but HDMI. The sound dose not work correctly to the built in speakers.

There are several picture and sound settings that you can adjust to fit what you are watching best. Go to Home > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:

1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Most suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.

You can also go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image.

For sound adjustments, go to Settings> All Settings> Sound.

Remote control is frustratingly cumbersome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV itself has an excellent picture. The sound quality is inconsistent depending on what source is feeding the sound. Some shows the volume has to be set above 60 to hear it while others are fine set at 30. The remote control is very frustrating as it has no voice search feature and the controls are unconventional. It would be better if the controls were standardized to match all smart TV’ s.

I apologize for the inconvenience you have had with the inconsistent sound volume. Please try adjusting the following Settings to improve your experience.

The Auto Volume function automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume = On.

You may also want to perform a Sound Test under Support > Self Diagnosis > Start Sound Test.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new TV is super! It took only a few days to understand how the UI worked in this TV. WITHOUT THE USER GUIDE. Once I got into Settings, it all came together for us. After learning what to do, I tried the different Screen Modes and found that Filmmaker Mode gave the screen more brightness, as 4K films can be very dark in low light scenes. In 4K films, the TV will go automatically into Filmmaker Mode. I even connected our Samsung Crystal 70” TV to a digital mixing system via USB; we have 4500 watts of audio - and it works seamlessly. It’s installed on a wall mount and though it’s a large TV, the mount can be moved side to side as well as up or down and even in FHD, the screen looks very nice! You guys rock!

It's NOT a TV! It's a DOORWAY to the FANTASTIC!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first time I powered up my 65 inch Samsung smart T. V. I was immediately blown away! The movie I was watching looked more like a live news program. I could reach out and touch the people in the movie. The characters were practically life-sized but so much larger than life! I found myself thrust into the world of the fantastic.
I was taken to outer space. I was taken to the depths of the ocean. I was taken to the streets of a bustling city. I was amazed by how immersed I became while watching my Samsung television.
I am so happy with it and with all the features that it provides. I was able to go online through the web browser already installed in it. It had every streaming channel that I currently use as if it knew in advance which platforms I stream on.
It's so slim and light weight. I was able to carry it myself. Adding my components to it was no trouble. The Emanuel inside is simple and easy to navigate. I am able to do every single thing this television has to offer, which is A LOT! There is a ton of interactive things to do including a bank of over 200 games ready to play.
My Samsung TV is more than a TV. It is truly a doorway to the fantastic!

Problems:
Resolution looks dull no matter the settings
The screen size does not work. I cannot change the zoom or decrease size of picture to get better resolution
The fast scenes look terrible like slow or cut off scenes … frames issues?

Thank you for your feedback about the picture quality of the DU7200 TV. I have a few recommendations that should improve the picture you are seeing.

I believe the "frame issues" you are describing are a feature called Auto Motion Plus, which eliminates ghosting and blurring that occurs from fast-moving images. These motion smoothing settings look great on live TVs, like sporting events or parades, which are filmed at 30 frames per second. Most movies, however, are filmed at 24 frames per second and are not intended to be viewed with these features. When turned on, this causes the dreaded soap opera effect.

To Change Motion smoothing settings on your TV:
Navigate to Settings > All Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Auto Motion Plus Settings (Picture Clarity Settings).
1. The default setting is Auto. This means the feature automatically turns on and off based on the type of program being watched.
2. Select Auto Motion Plus (Picture Clarity) to change the setting to either Off or Custom.
If you select Custom, three additional options are available:
• Blur Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Blur setting.
• Judder Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Judder setting.
• LED Clear Motion: This option allows you to configure the LED backlight to sharpen fast-moving images. Select to turn On or Off.

Black bars on the top and bottom of your screen can be caused by either a setting on your cable/satellite box or by the content you’re watching. However, the TV can be adjusted to help minimize this.

By adjusting the aspect ratio, you can get the image to fill the screen. Go to Home > Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Size Settings > Picture Size. Depending on the streaming App you are using, you may not be able to change these settings.
