The folding outlet plug-in is faulty !

This charger would be amazing if it didn't have a problematic folding plug. The two prongs that you stick into the wall outlet can be folded into the charger box, meant to be convenient for travel, actually make it a nightmare to use this charger. Many reveiws say their charger stopped working, or maybe even worse, starts shorting out on their phone. Often times causing snapping noises created by electricity arcs or your phone charging for a split second, stopping, and charging again off and on very quickly which is most likely very bad for your phone and extremely annoying in the least. I've kept this charger plugged in next to my bed. I don't travel with it, I don't ever unplug it or mess with it because I have a different charger I use during the day if need be. There's almost no way it has been damaged by me from being plugged in the wall and left alone I literally only keep this plugged in next to my bed so I always have my night time charger ready when it is bed time. My samsung charger is in the living room and i take it wherever I need it during the day... Shortly after purchasing this charger I noticed that just grabbing the cable to plug my phone in would pull the charger box a tiny bit and it would start snapping and arcing like crazy until I pushed it all the way into the outlet. And I mean ALL the way JAMMED into the outlet. After doing that a few times I realized you had to have the prongs fully extended straight out, if they start to fold at all it stops working. This is a large box and with cables connected it tries to fold on its own while plugged in. If you bump the cable at all the prongs try to fold under its own weight and it cuts off the connection from the outlet to the charger for some reason often causing the snapping electricity arc and always failing to charge. I don't know if all of them do this because there are many 5 star ratings, but also 1 week after I bought mine I would have given 5 stars as well. It works great when it actually works and the two charging ports are a big plus. It fast charges my girlfriends Iphone, which don't come with chargers anymore let alone a fast charger, and my phone at the same time though one outlet. But after a few months of use - it became a whole different story. Theres almost NO WAY they don't know about this design flaw, or they don't care enough to maintain quality control. Either way this is not what I expected from the OtterBox brand which I consider one of the best phone case companies. The number of 1 star reveiws confirms this happens often and I'm just a 25 year old with a regular high school deploma no engineering or technical background but I figured all this out just from trying to get this charger to work correctly and reading 4 or 5 reveiws ... Please step up quality control or ditch the folding design. It really isn't that appealing to me to have those fold in anyways, charger boxes are small and easy to transport even with them sticking out what ¾ of an inch and you never have problems like this with ones that don't fold . . .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Fasy Charger Now Charges Slowly

This charger was a miracle charger. For some reason it stopped charging fast. Now it charges very slowly. Why? I would have recommended it before but what happened?
