Really impressed with the ATH-50Mx. Have used them daily, often for extended periods of time, for over two years. Clear and crisp sound all the way from low to high frequencies.
Better than equivalents from other manufacturers and seem to more sturdily constructed. Great passive noise exclusion, fit and comfort. Fold up very nicely into the included carrying bag.

Just had my first problem; a driver (speaker in the headset) failed outside of warranty. But! Easy disassembly and servicing. Audio Technica sell replacement parts and their engineering makes replacement a breeze. This alone makes these a standout for me. Not everyone will need to replace a part, or have the skills (soldering) to do so. But I think it says a lot that the company made this easy and they aren't now just bound for the trash bin and getting replaced.
I would recommend this to a friend!
