Great studio headphones.

I've owned various other studio headphones including ones that cost in excess of $500.00 and for the price the AT-M50x are the absolute best bang for your buck. A comfortable fit and great seal over the ears when recording vocals in the studio. A very even signal that's clear and concise. I wouldn't necessarily use these for mixing but they can do the trick if need be. I highly recommend these for anyone just starting to build their home studios or even in a professional environment!

The sound is extremely clear. Keep in mind that these are not necessarily for listening to music. Ideally, one should purchase for the purpose of editing sound, video or even watching videos.

The cable is stuck in the headphones, normally you twist the cord and then pull it out but I can only get it halfway out. Not the end of the world but pretty annoying. Sound is decent but id say worse than another $80 pair of headphones I own.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

They certainly are not cheap. However I was very pleasently surprised by the level I felt as they sat on my ears for several hours. My past experience of full ear covering headphones was that they always pressed down on my ears and they became very uncomfortable, and off they went. The Audio-Technica I bought for meditating and consciousness exploration are surprisingly comfortable. O use them at very low sound level and very much enjoy them.

I’m using these for performing live over the internet. I was originally looking to get the M40X but they were out of stock. I’m very pleased with these headphones. Good quality and Very accurate sound with no excessive (pushed) bass response.

Beautiful, clear sound without accentuated bass. Exactly what I was hoping for.
If and when it's necessary, the cord doesn't pop out of the headphones as easily as my Sony's did, and that might be a problem in the future, but, so far so good!
Glad I got them, and for what I consider a very nice price at Best Buy.
