Customer Reviews for Lenovo - ThinkPad TrackPoint Keyboard II (US English) - Wired/Wireless Connectivity - Bluetooth - 2.40 GHz - USB Type A In - Black
the fold up stands to prop up the keyboard breaks EXTREMELY EASY. Well documented online... avoid this product. Also, USB-C port is for charging ONLY, cannot plug in for data for when there is wifi interference or if you lose dongle... terrible design decision. Keys themselves feel good...
Finally: no ability to swap Fn and CTRL, come on lenovo... people buy these keyboards to replicate their thinkpads and every thinkpad can do this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

One supportive leg has been broken after three weeks! so, I have removed the second one. In other components, it is a perfect keyboard. Finally, I want a backlight in the next generation.
very strudy and robust iteration of this design. Bluetooth seems more reliable than the existing 2.4ghz dongle. Battery life is good. I miss the original trackpoint caps; the classic dome was a perfectly functional design. I guess it's not svelt enough to work on the low-profile trackpoint hardware or the newer, slimmer, lower-profile trackpoint. Take a year off redesigning the trackpoint hardware, Lenovo. Don't fix what ain't broken. Thinkpads are Thinkpads because of a modest and restrained design philosophy. No more new trackpoints before they come with fingerprint reading technology.
Minimal creaking at bottom of keyboard surface and back panel. There's some flex in the tray, but no more than my X201T keyboard. This appears to be a noteworthy improvement over the previous version of this keyboard which was universally critiqued for its flexibility.
It's truly disgusting how much faster I can type on this layout than on a mechanical TKL.
In my opinion, Thinkpad is one of the best keyboards in the world. And this one is exactly a Thinkpad keyboard. The bluetooth works well too. So far I haven't found anything to complain yet.
Great keyboard, seems to be built sturdy. Great to have both Bluetooth and USB dongle wireless connectivity. Just wish the USB-C connection wasn't power only, would have been nice to have that connectivity as well.
Flexible wireless keyboard that's just perfect for WFH, especially during this pandemic. I'm currently using it either over Bluetooth with my ThinkPad or over 2.4ghz wireless dongle with my ThinkCentre and I really like how easy it is to switch back and forth, as needed. Additionally, it is nice and compact without ever feeling cramped, with an internal battery that so far seems pretty efficient. But, what i enjoy most is the familiar keyboard and trackpoint, which both feel and function like they were directly lifted off a ThinkPad. Highly recommend giving this a try, especially for making your home office computer setup more ergonomic!
Is this normal where the keyboard would skip a key every so often when typing?
