[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my lenevo keyboard, mainly because of the trackpoint. The trackpoint feature is more underrated and not many people use them. I love this feature because it saves me time from taking my hand to the mouse and back when I want to move my cursor.
I wish the next version of the keyboard is released with more advanced feature support such as support for parallel Bluetooth devices changing the Bluetooth device on click of a shortcut key button
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thinkpad keyboard is my favorite design. I like soft touch, quiet typing, trackpoint is also my favorite device instead of mouse. Windows shows battery level percentage. I can use on windows or android device, need to check my IPad also. Connecting it to my work laptop using Bluetooth but can also use usb adapter. I wish it could also have touchpad to mimic my personal Thinkpad P50.
Always liked the Thinkpad laptop keyboard so the feel is nothing new. Needed a portable keyboard for the coffee table. It connects to my Linux computers plug and play. Lightweight, comfortable to use and durable. If there is a weak spot it's probably the feet, they look a bit flimsy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The keyboard itself delivers the classic ThinkPad experience — responsive, well-built, and a pleasure to type on. Lenovo's scissor-switch chiclet design really shines here. Tactile feedback is crisp, and typing for long sessions is comfortable and accurate. I especially appreciate the layout and build quality — it’s one of the best out there.
However, my unit had a serious issue with the TrackPoint. As someone who relies on the TrackPoint daily and doesn’t use a dedicated mouse, this became a major pain point — quite literally.
There was a lot of friction when trying to move the TrackPoint, which caused noticeable fatigue in my right index finger over time. I’ve used several TrackPoints over the years (both from Lenovo and the older IBM models), and this was by far the stiffest and most uncomfortable I’ve come across.
One possible explanation might be the new ultra-slim 2mm cap (nip) that Lenovo used here. Maybe the reduced height changes the leverage or torque needed to move the cursor effectively. Alternatively, it could be related to how the pressure sensors work underneath — they measure force applied from multiple directions, and perhaps this new design misinterprets light directional pressure.
Whatever the reason, the result is increased effort and discomfort, which undermines one of the main reasons people love the TrackPoint: effortless, precise navigation without lifting your hands from the keyboard.
Another suggestion for Lenovo: please consider adding a wired USB connection option back. In areas with heavy 2.4GHz interference (like mine), wireless performance can be inconsistent. A wired USB option would not only improve reliability in such environments but also offer an extra layer of security for those concerned about wireless keylogging or interference.
To summarize: ✅ Excellent keyboard feel and build ✅ Typing experience is top-tier ❌ TrackPoint friction makes it borderline unusable in my unit ❌ No wired USB option limits flexibility in noisy RF environments
This keyboard gets so much right — but for TrackPoint-heavy users like me, the current implementation can be a serious letdown. Hoping Lenovo takes this feedback into account for future iterations.
