[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was looking for a smaller, more portable/sleek keyboard. Works great, appears to hold a charge well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice keyboard that works very well in my small desk space. Just as good as the key board on my Thinkpad. Connects easily and reliably.

Less ergonomic track point buttons

If you already use a track point keyboards you will be frustrated and disappointed.
Is hard to distinguish buttons without looking at them.
Points in the midle button are lower that F and J relieve lines.
Angle that let your fingers distinguish buttons is almost done. Beautiful for your eyes but terrible for your fingers.
They added a crack between keyboard and buttons that mixed up your fingers because feels like the angle of the buttons in your normal thinkpad keyboard.
They did not added the backlight to work in the darkness, you will need a lamp.
Function keys are active by default and there is no way to change it (not by hardware). Many times I was not capable to mute my mic immediately because of this.
No LED for mute or mic off buttons.
Most people buying this keyboard are Thinkpad users expecting the same experience, nothing new to learn but it looks Lenovo forgot it :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For a long time the Thinkpad keyboard is the gold standard. This portable unit however falls short on quality. The white imprint on keys are not as white as it should be, the feet, are poorly made, and the red tracker is too high. The keyboard is not backlit, which is a big deal. The price point for this unit is too high for what it is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] a fantastic keyboard altogether, I have now spent 2 weeks without even using a mouse thanks to the trackpoint. Amazing build quality, feels sturdy and the feel of the keys is once again incredible. I was skeptical that the battery could last as long as they say it does... I figured that for it to last a whole month you would need to keep it turned off when not in use and using it only an hour a day... I was wrong... I left it on for the past 15 days, using it extensively each day, and 15 days after... battery is at 50%... the keyboard connects almost instantly to the thinkpad, makes for an absolutely seamless experience...
but I'm giving only 4stars for 3 things that bugged me when I first got it. they are not dealbreakers, I would've still bought it knowing this.
first, the scrolling does not work the same way as on a thinkpad, the middle button works solely as a scroll wheel click. in order to be able to use it the same way as on my thinkpad, I had to install some third party software (x-mouse button control) in order to remap the middle button.
secondly there's no backlight to the keys, fortunately I know touch typing so even in pitch black it's not a problem, but still, if I buy a standalone ThinkPad's keyboard, I expect it to have ALL the functionalities that a ThinkPad's keyboard provides....
and finally, I would've really liked to see the old functionality of "tap to click" on the trackpoint, I think that this keyboard can potentially replace a mouse, so I think that they should try to make the trackpoint as convenient, versatile, and feature packed as they possibly can.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Exactly what I was looking for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Exactly what I was hoping for. My only suggestions for making this better would be
1) including 10 trackpoint caps
2) including 2-3 sets of feet (they're fine for the size of the product, but not the strongest)
3) the option for the USB cable to function for keyboard operation and not JUST charging (minor)
Including the trackpoint caps and feet (they cost pennies to make) is reasonable at this price point - it also saves the inevitable hassle and shipping costs (and carbon cost/waste)
The weight and feel of the keys is what I'd expect from a lenovo keyboard - and have since the IBM days
I'm using it for all sorts of things - as a backup keyboard for some Windows and android tablets, Fire TV sticks, home servers (using the dongle) - and other devices...I must say it feels like a waste using it for those things - the feel is as good as any premium full size keyboard I have.
I would recommend this to a friend!
