Built like a tank / High Quality

This power strip is really built like a tank and you can feel it right away when you open the box for the first time. I bought two Isobar 8-outlet: 1 powerstrip for two Apple Imac computers and 1 powerstrip for TV, DVD, Cable Box, Cable Router and Apple Wifi Router. It's heavy and very compact and it's not ugly at all so you can put it anywhere and it will fit nicely and will make itself forgotten. Look at the picture I attached and you'll see that it fits between two desks. I like the way each plug is far away one another which a plus since usually you never have enough space between plugs. Most importantly, I bought them for the surge suppression rated at 3840 Joules/97,000 amps and for the Lifetime Warranty and the fact that it's built i the US. I'm very happy with them.

Built like a tank and has plenty of outlets for all my equipment, but I wish the outlets were more spread out or configured differently. With big wall wart plugs, it's not so easy fit everything into the power strip.

I use this product to protect my computer as well as my xbox, before using the Isobar, I had my old powerbar plugged into what i thought was a safe outlet, only to find out after plugging in my isobar that it wasn't a safe power outlets and through further investigation there was no ground wire installed. Thanks Tripp Lite for letting me know about my faulty power outlet!

Isobar is the gold standard for power protection. I finally gave up on trying to guess if that cheaper solution in the store strikes a good balance between protection and cost and decided to just get the best. The potential cost of losing expensive equipment is just too great a risk. Also the cheaper power strips you find will wear out over time and who wants to guess or test when that will be? Once you feel the heft of Isobar equipment you'll know why it comes with lifetime insurance. For your own peace of mind and for your electronic's sake, don't buy anything less.
