I will never buy another Hoover product again.

I bought two of these. One for back up but the plate on the bottom with the wheels snapped off the first one after only a month so tried the second and after two weeks, the plate busted off that one also.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Belt comes off frequently

As a 63 year old I have had a few vacuums. This one has required me to get very good at take apart and fix to often. The belt comes off the drive spindle. Or I think shifts off and at times burns and destroys the belt. I like this he swivel feature but would buy one that did not swivel and the belt stayed in place. I have to wonder how long before the screws that manage the bottom cover will strip out. I bought in April 22 it's Nov. 22 I have replaced 4 belts and reinstalled a belt slip off, several times more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Here are some helpful tips to improve the suction: check to see if the filter or nozzle is clogged. Turn off the unit and disconnect the nozzle to remove the debris. Also check the hose for any built up debris, and use the handle of a broom to remove. After checking the hose, please be sure to securely connect the hose to your vacuum. We also recommend checking the filter by removing it from your vacuum and tapping out any built up dirt/debris that could be resting on it. Rinse the filter with water until the water runs clear and allow a dry time of 24-36 hours. - OR - We recommend checking to see if your filter is clogged. Turn off the unit and disconnect the nozzle to remove any debris. While you have the filter removed rinse it with water until the water runs clear, allow dry time (24-36 hours).

Buyer beware for ruggable and synthetic fiber carpetd

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is so much I like about this carpet and so much I absolutely hate.. If you have indestructible carpets that can take a beating and need to be deep cleaned then by all means this is the vacuum for you. However if you have a ruggable or any other type of carpet that is made with synthetic fibers and is even remotely meltable, Don't even think about considering this vacuum. The beater brush on this vacuum is so strong and so stiff I understand their claim of deep cleaning, However, I have a ruggable And it damaged my rug while trying to use the hose attachment. The belt never disengages even if it's fully upright and at the longest/tallest rug setting. It damaged my area rug while testing the hose attachments. I will say, it does a great job on our beat up carpeted second floor. But I am very weary of using it as we have two small kids and after seeing what it did to my rug I am scared of what it could do to their fingers

Would Bot Recommend - Fragile Plastic Parts

Several plastic parts have broken over less than 2 years of normal, household use. Specifically, the height adjustment system cracked and is useless. Overall, it seems very cheaply made, not worth it.

Only had this one and half months and the brush got stuck and broke the belt. The vacuum had great suction so hopefully we can fix it with a new belt and brush?

Vacuum is powerful and works great only problem is that the main hose connector came apart. The rubber hose split so it's inoperable. Trying to get a replacement hose is a joke. Out of stock everywhere.. tells me something rt there, I'm not the only person with this issue
